RTA Renewal

Hi all,

Got a brand new bike last year, Mulkiya is expired and i want to renew it - the RTA app is asking me to do an inspection, which i thought Is not needed for the first 3 years of a brand new vehicle, was there change in the rules?

Thanks!

Is it worth it?

Hi All,

I’m going to bangkok on the 15th, then to from bangkok to Phuket on the 18th.

Is it worth it to go to Koh samui directly once i land in Phuket? Or should i just spend my 7 days in Phuket? I’m tight on time and i know there are flights to koh samui but due to wrong planning we didn’t book those and i doubt we can change routes on a booked ticket.

Thanks!

Sharjah Municipality Fine

I was parked near Mamzar Sharjah next to the sign which says “no parking or offloading boats” just sipping karak and car was on.

Municipality officer knocked on my window said why are you parked like this and if i saw the sign i saw tbh i did but everyone always parks here so i didn’t know it was a big problem.

He took my ID and took a picture.

What’s the fine? Why would he take my ID?

Thanks

Shaded Parking rental

Hi All,

Traveling in July for 2 weeks and i usually park in the Sharjah municipality parking, but with the heat i do not really want to keep my car in there.

Are there any shaded parking spots for 2 weeks rental? Reasonably priced ones?
And if i have no option but to park it in the sun, what tips do you have for me?

Thank you

Schengen Visa for Syrian

Hi All,

I’m a Syrian citizen born and raised in Dubai, i work with stable income in a reputable company.

I would like to visit Germany in July, However, i doubt my bank statement for Schengen visa application would be suitable ( a lot of debt settlement in the last 3 months)

My brother is a german citizen residing in germany, can he assist me with that part? I read about a document he can provide to prove he will cover all my expenses and become a sort of a “safety net”.

Has anyone had such experience?

Thank you!

Spots to paddleboard?

Hi all,

Recently got into paddleboarding after going twice on my friend’s paddleboard (costed us his phone the first time and my GoPro the second time)

Are there any spots to paddleboard peacefully? Kite beach is nice but the waves are a bit too strong for that.

Looking for a lake or similar where i can peacefully paddleboard.

Thanks!

Starlight headliner

Hi everyone,

General question, what would it usually cost to get a polish+nano ceramic coating, 700 stars starlight headliner with color change from beige to black?

I found a shop which quoted me 1700 AED

(500 for ceramic and polish, 600 AED for headliner color change, and 680 for starlights)

Is that cheap or expensive compared to other shops?

Thanks!

Dropped phone in the sea

Earlier this afternoon I was paddling with a friend near Kite Beach in Dubai when I accidentally dropped his phone into the water. We tried diving for it immediately, but because we were drifting and the water was around 10–15m deep, we lost track of the exact location but i know the general place of where it fell.

I know the phone itself may be gone by now, but it has important memories/photos on it that weren’t fully backed up, and I genuinely feel awful about it.

Does anyone know of:

underwater recovery/diving communities, freelance divers, metal detector groups, or anyone experienced with retrieving lost items from the sea around Kite Beach?

Any advice or contacts would seriously mean a lot. Thank you.

Hi,

Randomly thought about it, what’s the process of owning a boat or jetski here? Do i need to register and insure it? What’s the process?

Thank you
