Sweet Thing | Carlisle Cullen

Hi my fellow Twilight fans :3 I have an ongoing and very feedback welcoming Twilight AU Fanfiction for my Carlisle lovers. I would love to build an active community and hear what people would wanna see next or what they think in general about it :) Trying to bring back the 2017 Wattpad feel LOL.

(DESCRIPTION)

Vivienne Monroe never thought she would find herself back in Forks.

After leaving her husband and taking her two-year-old son, Harlow, with her, she returns to the small town she grew up in. Her great-aunt’s old cabin gives her somewhere to stay, and with a new job and old friends welcoming her back, Vivienne starts trying to build a life of her own.

For the first time in years, things feel peaceful.
Then she meets Carlisle Cullen.

He's kind, reserved, and unlike anyone she's ever met. And the more Vivienne gets to know him, the more she begins to realize that there's something strange about the Cullen family.

Vivienne came to Forks looking for a fresh start.

But she hadn't quite expected to find a future there too.

Do people prefer shorter parts now?

Hey guys, this is basically just what the title is. I’ve noticed my views on my chapters are inconsistent, sometimes they even skip a chapter and the next part has more views than the last. Maybe because people are wanting more action rather than the character building? I have an on-going twilight fan fiction(because I kinda miss the old Wattpad community interaction thing where I get feedback on what people might wanna see next since that fuels my creativity) and I like to make it so that each part is at least 3,000 words. That’s also because I myself love long chapters with storybuilding so I get immersed. But, now I’m starting to think maybe it’s not the best?

My Boyfriend has BPD, how can I help him better while we live on two different schedules?

TLDR; The title! How do I help a person who only feels really better when we’re together in person, but refuses to speak about how they feel over the phone?

If you don’t like storytimes go ahead and skip the body text since it’s mainly for the people who like more detail and because I really needed to ramble LOL

Hi guys! I know this is something that has been asked over and over again, but I figured I’d come and ask too as this is more specific and personal. I’m really sorry for how wordy this is going to be, I’m just going to be very detailed.

For reference, me and my boyfriend are both only 19. We’ve been together since we were 14. My boyfriend was diagnosed recently with BPD, and I really want to be able to help him. The only issue is that he struggles to communicate how he feels because he doesn’t want to make it my problem. He has always been that way— usually very open to conversation until it’s about his feelings specifically and in depth.

He goes to a UC in a different city, and we only get to see eachother once, maybe twice a week if we’re lucky due to conflicting schedules. He regularly has Psych appointments and therapy, but because he is private, I love and respect him enough to not push him to tell me what they had spoken about. Instead I leave it to a simple “is there anything you’ve found out that you’d feel comfortable sharing?”, and if he says no, I let him be.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find out about his diagnosis until today, where it finally came out because we were having a not so great conversation. It wasn’t an argument, but I do have generalized anxiety disorder and depression myself, so I’ve always tended to be very sensitive to changes in his behavior. I had noticed an increase in the amount he’d suddenly change in his enthusiasm, but usually since he’d say he’s fine I just chalked it up to a particularly bad time studying. Occasionally it would lead to an argument unexpectedly blowing up, mainly due to my fault not being able to regulate how I felt through my confusion on his feelings and my own feelings being hurt which leads me to not proceeding the conversation correctly.

I approached it differently this time, probably how I should’ve from the start. I tried soothing him by not matching his blandness with my own(ex: no nickname, harsher tone), so I was back to calling him baby and sweetheart and telling him I loved him and that I might’ve just been taking it too personally. I apologized for anything I did to make him upset, and asked if there was anything I could do for him. This seemed to work him out of his shell. He said that he “thought he’d fix it alone, and had hoped that it was curable”, which is why he didn’t think to bring it up, and that he was sorry for making me feel upset because he doesn’t know why he feels like he has to be that way sometimes at random.

I asked him if it ever made him extremely sad or have thoughts of hurting himself, he said “yes, but it’ll pass”. That scares me especially BECAUSE he doesn’t like to talk about how he feels. I’ve been trying to reassure him that I’m there to talk/listen, but I don’t want to come off so pushy.

Now, I’m left in my thoughts while I let him continue studying. I love my boyfriend soooo much. A diagnosis doesn’t change that for me, obviously, and I don’t think it should anyway. But I really don’t know how to get him to talk or how to approach him about it more. He only seems like he feels better when I can be with him irl, and sometimes I can even get him to speak about small things. But over the phone he doesn’t want to at all, and we are over the phone most of the time due to schedule differences and the commute. I want to be the best girlfriend and support that I can be. I’m already trying to start with not taking it personally when he displays a change in behavior, and not feeding any negative energy with my own and instead trying to encourage and reassure him.

What else do you think I can do for him whenever we aren’t in person that might get him to feel better while he navigates this?
