Rod for perch and zander

Im wondering, is it feasible to do zander jigging with a heavier perch rod? Ive been eyeing a rod that is advertised for perch and idk about the action yet but ima assume it is fast, have any of you guys gone the route with only a single rod for these two species, or do i need a dedicated zander rod for the hookups?

I am going to get a dedicated rod for both, but idk if i should go with the zander rod first or go with a "hybrid" route with the heavier perch rod, the spots i mainly fish are known for zander, but they hold good perch as well if the time and place is right

I made this piece of an orca and O.angustidens which is a smaller and lesser known species in the genus Otodus, the most famous species in the genus being megalodon
