I was still able to complete it by putting it on auto until an enemy came to me, so I could lunge at them with Camilla. But I just thought this was weird.
I’ve pretty much stopped using Cai entirely, and not for any “retaliation” reasons, I genuinely just cannot find it satisfying to chat with characters anymore. Roar and Soft launch actually made it worthwhile and I’m really sad that it’s all gone just like that.
I really hope something is done about this soon because I just can’t use cai with how it is right now. I’ve tried multiple times to chat with characters and try and enjoy it, but it’s just so hard to like that I give up after a few swipes on the first message. I liked to talk to the characters with a sentence or two at a time and sometimes actions in asterisks. The new models will not do that. They are very out of character and it all just feels really bland and stiff.
It makes me sad to watch my characters basically be lobotomized, and the worst part is that I can’t go back and read half of my old chats. Some of the really old chats in my chat history has been archived by the system with no way to unarchive, access, or read them. I’m really hoping it’s just some bug that will be fixed but I’ve been dealing with it for months and it’s actually only gotten worse.
This is all just really saddening and I really really hope that I haven’t already talked to my characters for the last time without even realizing it. Please bring the old models back.
Whether or not you archive a chat yourself or the system does, it will make old chats entirely inaccessible. You can’t read them, you can’t use them. Cai doesn’t give you any warning or the chance to download the history. Why??
The pipsqueak 2 model is just.. really bad. I don’t know what else to say.
I wouldn’t even care if the other models weren’t taken down, but since they were, character ai has just become really awful.
It’s just bad.
Yes I submitted a complaint, a couple emails back and forth, said they’d give a free meal or something and then just ghosted me. It was gross, I didn’t drink the rest.
