Is "commenting on a dexter's character/plot" offensive or rude on reddit?

I said that Laguerta seemed to be evolving in a negative way throughout the series and she started revealing her true personality in season 6th. But I did not intend to generalize or have dexter fans think the same. I was just commenting on season 6e3episode where laguerta mistreats Debra.

The post was removed with this comment

"

Avoid gatekeeping or generalizing groups of fans. You don’t get to control what people like or don’t like. Don't make posts just to express hatred for characters or plots. If you're only here to hate on Dexter, you may get banned. If you made a post just to hate on a female character, you will be banned."

Actually, I think that the comment is quite sexist because it points out the sex of the character that was not what the discussion was about.

I think I should leave ''rdexter'' page...because I do not feel free commenting on a character/subplot.

Laguerta is becoming so annoying in season 6: she is revealing her true personality

I started doing some research on LaGuerta and her reception on Reddit during season 1: I didn't like how she acted with Pascal, the lieutenant who replaced her for a while. She was very manipulative and I think she revealed her true personality in that moment.

BUT... after that, I didn't notice any manipulative behaviour until season 6.

In season 5 she seemed somewhat manipulative with Batista, but still, Batista was a moron before marrying her (I think he is changing and is starting to grow on me as a character).

What I can't really understand is why she is acting so cruelly toward Debra. She's authoritarian and resentful (especially in S6E03 when she openly criticizes Debra for not choosing the agent she had suggested).

I think she is devolving. We are going to see more and more of her bad sides. I don't want any spoilers, but I would like to ask your opinion. Do you think that season 6 is the season when LaGuerta is showing her true feelings?

Deck to start with for beginners and those who don't like too many combos?

I have been an edison and goat player for a while, but in locals genesys seems to be the most common format. I'd like to try GENESYS but I'm scared about the cognitive overload (too longs effects, too many combos) that usually make it difficult to take pleasure from a match for a begginer. I used to play modern format until 2020, then things went downhill with some decks monopolyzing the meta. I feel genesys is not that different from modern. But is there a deck that is enough competitive and easy to start with?

JORDAN CHASE: the most unsympatethic villain of the first five seasons

I have watched a lot of crime tv shows so far (criminal minds, profiler, profilage, mindhunter) but rarely have I encountered such a villain who can trigger negative emotions such as Jordan chase. I think it's positive because it means the script was effective and managed to portray true evil.

What strikes me the most is the apparent lack of motivation. If we compare Jordan Chase to Trinity or Brian Moser, we notice that the latter experienced a significant amount of trauma during their early years, while Jordan chase (something about his life is hinted at in 5E11) is just evil.

If we had to use a textbook term, he is a narcissist psycopath.

Watching DEXTER after watching CRIMINAL MINDS : I can appreciate better Trinity and the gang barrel case

I finished watching all the seasons of criminal minds last year and after that I started watching a lot of tv shows based on profiling (including some pretty unknown, such as Cracket, Profiler, Profilage). Some months ago I decided to start watching dexter, even though I knew it was not about criminal profiling (Dexter himself is a serial killer). I was astonished watching the series because I could understand better many unsubs, especially Trinity or the Ice truck killer. I think there are a lot of similitaries between the tv shows and if you watch criminal minds first you will appreciate Dexter and understand it better.

What do you think about cooperative learning in history classrooms?

I teach human and social sciences in Italy and we talk a lot about cooperative learning as a strategic technique to gain students'attention and make learning an active process. However, I notice there's a big difference between theory and practice and especially in our country we haven't got the material to structure a lesson based on cooperative learning. We should have more sources to research on, tailored to students of different age, personalized material ecc...

So cooperative learning tend to be ineffective and many teacher prefer the classical lecture. Honestly I think it's good to alternate direct instruction with active learning, especially in middle schools. But I do struggle finding material for cooperative learning, while for direct instruction you can use many tools such as the textbook.

Middle schoolers can't appreciate GOOD teachers

I was thinking about this today. My 6th graders told me their favourite teachers are the ones who give them high grades and let them play during the lessons. Honestly, I was hurt because I am not that kind of teacher but I would want my students to recognize my efforts as a teacher. I teach in Italy but I guess it's not that different in the U.S.A or in U.K.

My first and only thought when I teach is ''How can I create the best conditions of learning for my students''. I do not want to be their friend or an influencer. I think I GOT over that feeling that you need to be liked. But as a human being I want to be liked and apprecciated for the way I work.

Qualcuno come me?
