Are our products a good fit for the Amazon Vine program ?

Hello everybody, everybody hello,

I work for a company specializing in rainwater management products, and we’ve been selling on Amazon for a few years now. Over time, I’ve realized that we don’t get that many reviews. Even our best-selling product only has 34 reviews so far…

That got me thinking about the Amazon Vine program. The problem is, I’m still not sure whether our products would be a good fit.

Most of what we sell is fairly technical. Things like drainage channels and window wells and these products are designed to solve a very specific problem : managing rainwater.

Because of that, I’m not sure whether offering them through Vine would actually make sense or lead to useful, relevant reviews.

So, fellow Redditors, do you think there would be any benefit to enrolling this kind of product in Amazon Vine ?

Thanks in advance for your feedback !

PS : I won’t be sharing the name of my company.

What motivates you to write on Substack ?

Hello everybody, everybody hello.

Yes, I know this question might sound a little simplistic. I only discovered Substack fairly recently through Mark Manson’s blog. This whole world is completely new to me, so naturally I got curious and started scrolling through both Substack and Medium.

The sheer number of generic articles and notes on these platforms is kind of overwhelming (and I don’t mean that as a criticism). It just made me wonder what people actually get out of posting there.

What genuinely motivates you to publish? Money ? Recognition ? The enjoyment of sharing your knowledge ? Or simply having a place to practice your writing ?

Again, there’s absolutely no judgment on my part. I’m just genuinely curious to know what motivates you.

Is the difficulty finding technical writing jobs mainly a U.S. problem ?

Hi technical writers,

I’ve been lurking on this subreddit for a few months now, and I have to admit I’m surprised by how many posts I see about layoffs and how difficult it has become to find a job in technical writing.

I live in a European country where there always seem to be technical writing job openings, at least on LinkedIn.

Do you think the current difficulties in the technical writing job market are mainly a U.S. or North American issue, or are you seeing the same thing in other parts of the world ?

Amazon a modifié mon contenu A+ ?

What do you think about the impact of emotions on the B2B buying process ?

I recently read an article from The Insight Collective that a Redditor from r/copywriting kindly sent me. The title was:

“B2B Buyers Aren’t Robots – Why Emotions Are the Key to Conversion”

I personally work in marketing for an industrial/construction company. I have to admit, until now, emotion was not really the main factor I considered when addressing B2B buyers…

Honestly, the article left me somewhat puzzled.

What do you think ?

Are emotions really that important in the decision-making process ?

How can copywriting techniques be applied to the industrial and construction sectors?

I currently work in the e-commerce department of the French subsidiary of a group specialized in stormwater management.

My role is somewhere between sales/business development (sourcing, pricing, product range development, etc) and marketing (ad creation, social media, traffic management, etc).

I had already heard about copywriting before taking this position, but I always thought it was mostly suited to B2C.

Lately, my management has been asking me more and more to use AI for writing, but honestly, I find the copy it gives me really, really bad…

That’s why I started developing my own copywriting skills. The problem is that I’m struggling to apply those techniques to this industry. The result always feels too loud, too salesy, or too much like an “ad,” and my management is convinced that this kind of tone would turn our prospects away.

So my question is : how can copywriting techniques be applied to the industrial and construction sectors ?

(I’ve already searched through this subreddit, the Discord, and the swipe files, but I haven’t found a satisfying answer)

Thanks in advance !

How much do you think physical attractiveness matters in a professional career ?

I’ve seen a lot of colleagues succeed in their careers. Some of them were genuinely brilliant, but others… honestly, not so much. What they did have going for them, though, was their looks.

It made me wonder how much does physical attractiveness actually weigh in the balance when it comes to professional success ?

What specifically makes you want to reply to a post ?

This might sound like a dumb question, but it just crossed my mind and I can’t seem to come up with a clear answer…

What actually makes you want to comment on a post ?

Whether it’s on Reddit or any other social media platform.

First hike complete !

Hi everyone,

M27 here. I’ve finally finished my first big hike, 16,27km (10,11 miles) with a 14-kg (30,86 pounds) backpack.

To give you some background, I left the military a year ago to take an office job, and I have to admit that it didn’t help me stay in shape. So I decided to start rucking.

Anyway, feel free to let me know what you think, any advice is welcome !
