I'm very disappointed. I've been using the M3s for years as my primary gaming headphones but after my second pair started to malfunction I decided to "upgrade" to the M5s. Well, that was a mistake. They are irrecovably stuck in HFP "communication" mode on PS5. Yes, I have done every possible thing to attempt to fix this.

I have cycled every possible audio setting repeatedly. I own an external mic but every time I plug the M5s in they immediately default to that mic. I did find a workaround for getting them to recognize the external mic but it fixed nothing. Support was unhelpful, basically told me "yep that's by design". So yeah, fair warning console users, maybe just stick with the M3s. Debating picking up a third pair although this experience left a real sour impression.

I have purchased some Momentum 5s and when I plug them into PS5 through USB C the PS5 considers them a "headset" and the audio quality is horrendous.

I have been using Momentum 3s on PS5 since release and I have never had this issue, the PS5 considers them to be "headphones". Does anyone know how to fix this with the M5s?

Second >!field lab I'm at the misty gorge and Jan remarks that I can build it. I have terraformed the gorge and there's an arrow on the map showing me where to go. There's a tree sticking out of where I think it is supposed to fit? But I am unable to place the lab at all.!<

I looked up a guide but it doesn't seem to give the right information, >!it claims I can't reach the platform at all before terraforming, but I definitely could, I placed a travel pylon there before cryosleeping.!< This is possibly me just being really dumb, but I'm progress locked for now until I can build it...

Finally got around to checking out NINoize and holy shit Boys Noize have awakened the Year Zero tracks. I need to hear the rest of them. Just imagine what they would do with Great Destroyer.

I remember listening to that album almost two decades ago and thinking about what a depressingly pessimistic view of our future that Trent and Atticus were painting, but listening to this album now, in a post-COVID world and as we watch the real-time irrevocable corruption of art and culture, to say nothing of our ever accelerating descent into facism, that album is now so disturbingly topical, all the more reason of which I think a redux would be perfect.
