It's crazy how Maul would legit be dead if these guys weren't so loyal, and then he barely cares when they die.

There are some scenes that make you think that Maul is starting to be more benevolent but in the end after he betrays Daki (to take Devon) he can't escape his sith programming, a selfish asshole motivated only by greed for personal power.

He never once stopped to think that his obsession with taking Devon was detrimental to the rest of his team. He used their deaths only as anger/hatred to double-down on his selfish goals.

Fun fact: Rook Kast first appeared in the comic Darth Maul Son of Dathomir exactly 12 years ago (May 21, 2014)

Happy birthday Rook Kast 🥳

A more intensive insult would have been fitting here.

Slime just means untrustworthy or sneaky. However, this dude was:

  1. An idiot. What did he think was going to happen when there were multiple Imperial gunships around?

  2. A coward. In attempting to save himself, he doomed everyone else.

  3. A traitor. This goes against everything Mandalorians stand for. Rook had a high amount of reverence for Maul and believed in his vision. She personally held others accountable if they care only about money.

I would have loved to see her insult him in Mando'a (Mandalorian language). "Kebris, gar hut'uun'la di'kut" (Kebris, you cowardly idiot)

Question about Mandalorian houses and clans

So my understanding is that there are some independent clans (Clan Mudhorn, Clan Fett) and some that serve as vassals to larger houses. According to the wiki the structure is:

House Vizsla: Clan Vizsla, Clan Saxon, Clan Wren

House Kryze: Clan Kryze

House Kast: Clan Rook

So it makes sense that the name of the clan matches the family name with characters such as Tarre/Pre Vizsla, Gar/Tiber Saxon, Ursa/Sabine Wren, and Satine/Bo-Katan Kryze. However, for the character Rook Kast, why is there no Clan Kast? Why does the name of the clan match her first name?
