Advice for spouse leaving the church?

Married 7 years this month.. recently my husband has stepped back from the church and doesn’t want to be part of it anymore. It’s been hard on our marriage obviously. Any advice other than “love him where he’s at” and “be an example to him”?

Edit to add more context… he’s not bitter towards the church and he wants me to do what’s best for me, whatever that may be. We have one kiddo (5 year old) who I want to take to church but hubby doesn’t want him there. We have plans to get into marriage counseling asap. He also says he doesn’t believe in the church but he believes in the gospel.

Guilty??

Hiii my husband and I have one kiddo (5 y/o) and we are done. I always thought I wanted a big family (at least 4 kids) but pregnancy was brutal. Post partum was brutal. Breastfeeding was brutal. When my son was 2, I figured I would feel like it’s time for another one. But I never felt it. Then again at 3, and 4, and now he’s 5 and my husband is snipped and I don’t want any more. But sometimes I wish I had another one, like if I had twins that would’ve been great. Cause I could get 2 for the price of one… haha. We’ve been watching a lot of bluey and I always feel like this when we watch bluey. What if my bluey needed a bingo? Of course there is no guarantee that they would get along… my one sibling and me never got along/don’t talk very much. I always worry im totally screwing up my kid by only having one. We also come from a very religious (LDS) background, where the more kids the better. But we just feel so content with our little family of 3. But then I feel guilty for feeling contentment. Ugh any one else feel this way??

Will we be house poor?

FTHB here. House is $274k, take home income is about $6k between me and hubby. Down payment and closing costs are paid for through the first time home buyer program in my area, actual loan amount is $264k. FHA loan at 5.875% interest. Estimated mortgage will be $1991 which is principal/interest/insurance/PMI & taxes. Only debt is our car which is about $360 a month.. currently no rent (living with family) and about $5k saved and adding 10% of each paycheck every pay day.
we just got done paying off all of our debts last month so that’s why savings is low. Up until now all extra money was going towards debt.

How long does a pending status take to appear?

Hubby and I found a house we love in our price range, our agent called them last night to see if we could see it and they said the listing agent said it just went under contract. That was 5pm my time. As of 9 am this morning, it’s still listed as active on all websites. How long does it take a house to change from active to pending? Ive noticed they seem to go change really fast in my area, so i didnt know what the norm was.

Buying a condo?

First-time homebuyer here looking for some honest opinions.
My husband and I recently got pre-approved and are trying to decide between continuing to rent or purchasing a condo as our starter home.

We found a condo we absolutely love listed at $224,900. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, updated appliances, in-unit laundry, and is in an area we really enjoy. The HOA is $440/month and covers water, sewer, trash, roof, exterior maintenance, common areas, and master insurance.

Our lender is estimating we may qualify around $250k, but we’re intentionally trying to stay below our max approval amount because we’ve worked hard to get out of debt and don’t want to become house poor.

Our priorities are:
-Low monthly payment
-Safe area
-Building equity instead of renting
-Financial peace of mind

This would not be our forever home. We view it as a starter home and a stepping stone.

For those of you who bought condos as your first home, would you do it again? Would a $440 HOA be a dealbreaker if it covered all of the items listed above?

What questions would you ask before moving forward?
I’d love to hear both the pros and cons from people who have actually owned condos.

EDIT: we were very confident with the whole set up until my realtor told us it might not be a good idea with HOA being so high so now we’re confused
