Squeaking sound after tyre replacement

Attached TLDR at the end

Got new tyres for my 2017 Honda City 4th gen today. After tyre replacement, wheel balancing, and fitting, the mechanic suddenly said my car had serious issues and needed lower arm, rotors, and brake pads replaced immediately.

He said I shouldn’t leave the shop without doing it and quoted ₹24k. This was mainly a tyre shop, not a proper garage.

What felt suspicious: if the lower arm/rotors were that bad, why didn’t he show me when the wheels were already off and everything was visible? I felt pressured, so I only paid for the tyres and left.

Now the car makes a **loud squeaking sound whenever I brake**. The drive home was scary.

I’m a total newbie and this is my first ever car (2nd hand). I just bought it 5 months ago, i feel heart broken. Did I get scammed by the mechanic? could something genuinely have gone wrong during tyre fitting/balancing?

Also, if anyone knows a reliable, budget-friendly mechanic in South Bangalore, please recommend.

**TL;DR:** Got tyres changed, shop pressured me to replace lower arm/rotors/brake pads for ₹24k. I refused, now brakes squeak loudly. Scam or genuine issue?
