Walked past this on the way to work. I want to say it's some sort of KTM based thing, but that could just be the colours.

Anybody know?

How many of these cars can you identify? It's a kinda low res pic from Prague, taken in 1980. It's Pařížská Street, which is now the most expensive shopping street in Central and Eastern Europe and is usually lined with expensive and exotic cars. But what was there in 1980?

The full attribution of the image is:

Pařížská Street. Photo: Alan Denney (Born: England, Kent county, 1952 - ). Czechoslovakia - Praha (Prague), 1980 / Now Czech Republic

I'm expecting a lot of Skodas, Wartburgs, Ladas, Volgas and Trabants... and I can see the Citroen and the Beetle. Is there anything else here that would have been exotic in early 80's Prague?

Some pics of not Prague

In an attempt to encourage visitors to Prague to also visit not Prague, here are some of my pics of not Prague, all of which were taken in or near Czech towns that are not Prague. Admittedly, they aren't great, but when I remove all the pics with me/family/friends in them, there isn't much left.

The Břevnov Monastery is hosting the První Pivní Máj for the 11th time. Dozens of small breweries from around the country will be selling their wares. It's 100CZK to get your festival cup (cash only for the cup; many, though possibly not all, beer stands take cards).

Vojtěch Ryvola has sold it to pay off bank loans. The new owners are apparently Korean and rumour is that the boat will become a Korean restaurant. Brewing operations will not continue.
