Mother’s Day batch on the kamado

The reddish ones have a buffalo seasoning and I sauces them after this. The others are a southern chicken rub I tried for the first time. Both were excellent.

Is the blue light supposed to always be on? I’m trying to trouble shoot. I push the power button blue light comes on but goes out.
