Day out with my little Monsters! 💖

Took the babies out for a photo walk today! They looked so cute next to the giant Labubu statues, had to snap a few pics 🥹

Loved seeing everyone else out with their collections today too! How do you guys like to bring your Labubus along when you go out? 💬

My wife converted me to a Pilates guy! 😅

She bought me a pair of double-loop straps to help with my back pain and shoulder rehab. I was pretty skeptical at first, but after a week on the Tonal... man, I’m actually hooked!

My back feels way better, and it’s no joke of a workout. Any other dads here doing Pilates on their Tonal?

Finally finished my home gym

Hey everyone, after a year and a half of constant tweaking, upgrading, and changing out equipment, I think our setup is officially complete!

Here is how the space is split up now:

Cardio Zone:

  • Peloton Tread & Peloton Bike+
  • Concept 2 Rower

Strength & Mobility Zone:

  • Rogue Lite Rack (mainly for squats and benching)
  • 10lb–50lb Dumbbell set (for shoulder work)
  • Tonal (Refurbished Gen 1)

To be honest, I was a massive skeptic when it came to Tonal at first. The monthly subscription definitely made me hesitate. But after swapping out my Centr functional trainer for it, my husband and I use it every single day. The dynamic weight adjustment and the ability to turn off the weight instantly are absolute game-changers.

The setup details & lessons learned:

  1. Free weights still rule for certain angles: For movements where the line of pull isn't perfectly vertical (like lateral raises), free weights still have a better mind-muscle connection for me, so the Rogue rack and dumbbells aren't going anywhere!
  2. Mixing it up with mat work: Since my husband and I use the Tonal back-to-back, we've recently started incorporating some mat-based Pilates and core work into the routine to balance out the heavy lifting and riding.
  3. DIY Win: I couldn't bring myself to buy Tonal’s official accessory shelf, so my husband actually built me a custom replica from scratch! (You can see it on the wall under the stairs).

Next steps are finally mounting the TV that's been sitting around for over a year, and moving some of the random clutter into the garage.

Over the last 1.5 years, this setup has helped me stay more consistent with working out than ever before. My cardio, strength, and overall health markers are the best they've ever been.

Would love to hear your thoughts or any ideas on how to clean up the space even more! 🛠️👇

Quick breakdown of my Pilates loop collection

Hey everyone! I’ve been doing Pilates for a while and have tested so many loops. (Check out my collection in the photo—I’ve tried it all!)

Honestly, none of my old ones worked for me:

The Fleece One (far left): Sheds black fuzz everywhere and sticks to my grip socks.

The Polypropylene One (second from the left): Super stiff and rough to grip.

The Thin One (third from the left): Way too thin—my ankles were suffering during longer sessions.

All of these were pretty much blind buys, just trying different things.

I eventually just grabbed these Final loops off Amazon. Thought they’d just be a temporary fix, but nope.

Been using them since they dropped and they’re just really comfortable—soft and a bit thicker than I expected. The paracord D-ring setup (I actually noticed the Tonal ones use something similar too) helps a lot with the clanking. Guess I didn’t realize how annoying it was until it was suddenly gone lol.

Anyway… ended up sticking with it. I’ll update if anything changes.

Took my new bus ita bag out for a walk today. Honestly, having them "drive" around with me is the best thing ever.

Look who I found in their natural habitat... 🥹💚💜

Took my babies out for an outdoor adventure today. Honestly, they look so much at home among the moss and deep woods. It’s like they’re planning their next forest mischief! 🌿
