why won’t these TVs stay on?

hi , just wondering if anyone might know if there is there any reason in particular that these TVs apparently do not stay on? Im not sure if there is like a secret jailbreak code i could try so my TV will remain on unless I personally pick up the remote and turn it off… I didn’t even know this was something I would have to consider when making the mistake of buying this TV…. And no, I do not have a sleep timer on or any other setting in which I have manually set my TV to turn off at random times in the middle of watching something.

things changing in size?

hi all, i’m trying to figure out if i’ve just completely lost my mind at this point or if it could all fit into dissociation- maybe derealization? i constantly xperience things changing in size and distance relative to myself, but it’s everything else changing, not me - for example i’ll walk into my bathroom and think something along lines of “since when does this dresser only come up to my thigh..” i’ll think it used to be taller and then from there might start to think my whole apt is sinking and get really scared (i apparently need to take it that one extra step lol). or i’ll walk into my room and all my furniture is suddenly slanted, so i spend 30min trying to straighten and align furniture that had probably never even moved in the first place. earlier today i was about 2x the height of my car which didn’t seem right bc why is my car not even at my chest? and very often ill walk into my apt and wonder when my living room got so huge and be convinced the walls each pushed out at least 5-10ft.. i’ll also look at , actually a lot has to do with my car now that i think about it but i’ll think this isn’t my

steering wheel, or since when does my interior have that pattern on the seat and things like that.

has anyone ever been presented with an ultimatum from their therapist?

i’m wondering if anyone else has been given an ultimatum of something you have to do in order to continue individual therapy with your current therapist?

particularly curious if anyone has experienced this with being told you must a dbt skills group to continue therapy by their longtime therapist - in my case it’s 4 years, but anything other than at the start of therapy here would be similiar to my experience and what i’m asking about.

my therapist suddenly decided that in order for my individual therapy with them to continue, i’d have to enroll and actively engage in a dbt skills group.. . i feel as though i’m being forced into this because the consequence is so aversive and what im at risk of losing means a lot to me (my ability to continue my therapy & the relationship with my therapist) so it feels very unfair.

i think i could maybe understand this if aa was a required condition of continuing therapy to someone who’s struggling with alcoholism, or a supplemental therapy to someone who’s not being medically treated for an eating disorder, but being required to attend a dbt skills group or lose my therapist seems just about as necessary as her telling me to join a gym, take a local college course or idk .. get a job in order to continue to see her

has anyone else been told they have to join a dbt skills group to continue individual therapy with your current long term therapist? if so what was your experience with it.. did it feel a little unfair and forced to you as well and did you do it?

My therapist doesn’t seem to like me anymore

Has anybody dealt with this, how’s you overcome the feeling or did you accept it and make a change of some sort? My therapist slowly but surely seems to have distanced themselves completely from me/ my story. They no longer seem curious or interested in what I have to say, hardly ever ask questions (feels like they assume they already know), and have changed so many rules over time in terms of making things stricter and more boundaried despite there never being actual problems with any of the things they changed- for example I’m no longer allowed to add a session if needed and they’re available.. now it’s just a no regardless of why I am asking for it/ if they’re available. When I think back, the therapist I met and felt so comfortable with back in the beginning feels like a completely different person. I’m sure most people who read this will tell me to move on, find another therapist, etc. but that’s not really what I’m looking for. I’m wondering if anyone else can share similar stories / feelings and what came of it. I have mentioned the distance and other things I noticed but it was kind of brushed off (similar to most of the things I say nowadays). I also compare myself to their other clients that I don’t even know and never will know- but I drive myself crazy thinking how I must be the least favorite, the one they’re bored of, how all their other clients are so much better to work with and just better than me in every way possible. It all just sucks and I can’t help but blame myself and wish things would go back to the way they were in the beginning

Does anyone know what the police presence near Newport towers on Halstead tonight (Thursday) was about? Both entrances were blocked off not allowing let anyone, including residents, to enter into parking lot or building by foot. Also directing cars away and down a diff street rather than continuing to drive & passing infront the building . I believe it was around 830pm Thurs evening for about an hour or so
