he says he has a soft spot for me but treats me like this"

(28F) recently went no-contact with a guy (30M) after a toxic talking stage. He constantly claimed to have a "soft spot" for me, but his behavior was incredibly manipulative and disrespectful. The Red Flags:The "Soft Spot" Trap: He’d treat me poorly and say offensive things, then claim he cares about me more than anyone else to keep me hooked.Virginity Shaming: He used my virginity to guilt-trip me and claim I don't understand how real relationships work."Passport Bro" Rhetoric: He obsessed over "submissive" women from other cultures and called me "difficult" for having basic standards.Gaslighting: He blamed my reactions to his misogyny on my "hormonal cycle."Is this a common mindset for men now, or is this just straight-up manipulation?

I been single for seven years now. I've tried the dating apps, but nothing seems to work. I'm really just trying to stay positive about eventually finding a good man I’m 28 and I feel behind seeing couple in person and wonder what will my turn come.

I’m not a super religious person, but for the last few years, I’ve been praying to find a boyfriend. Instead of finding a good partner, I keep ending up with toxic men that I have to deal with. I see other girls finding relationships so easily, and I’ve been single for 6 years now. It’s hard not to feel like I’m doing something wrong or wonder why it’s not happening for me.

When men are dealing with high levels of stress or difficult life situations, is it normal for them to take it out on their girlfriends? Or should they still be able to maintain respect and kindness even when things are hard?.
