I don't know what to do

So I'm moving out, I have an apartment with 2 friends but my struggle is finding a car. I have a loan for one because I didn't realize what I was doing but I don't want the car the pre-sale inspection says it's rusted so bad it's eating into the frame on top of some other issues and that I have about 1-2 months at best before I have to start putting money into the car.

My mom is pissed she isn't taking me to or from work because how I told her I'm moving out so the best thing I could do is get a car quick but because on my credit it shows a loan in my name that makes the process of getting a car that isn't this current one harder.

I think my best bet is to simply take the car but then look for another car and trade my current one if. It most certainly isn't worth what I'd be paying for it so I'd be stuck with the shit end of the stick of paying the difference.

I have 10 days until my move in date and I'm not sure if my mom is going to push me out or what, can move shit without a car. And I can't get the credit issue sorted within that time.

I think I'm just going to take the fucked car and trade it in and pray that it's value isn't as bad as I think 8k and just suck up with paying the difference.

What to look for in cars?

So I'm 19 and have been having the worst car trouble of my life. Got into my first accident, someone tboned me doing a right in red when I had right of way and that was the second accident for that car and we totalled it for the second time.

Our second and final car was getting work done and caught fire due to a mechanics error and their insurance denied us and so we were just left without a car and having to lay for a rental car. So I have been looking for cars, saving and I've gotten pre-approved.

The car I'm looking at is a 2021 Mitsubishi outlander sport fwd w 81k miles on it. I was told to get a psi on the vehicle and confirmed there is a Mitsubishi dealership in the area I can take the car to.

But I was wondering if there was anything else I should look for, questions to ask, paperwork to request etc before I go on Monday the 27th of July.

I feel like I should ask about any previous damage m, how old the wheels are and the history of maintenance on the vehicle but idk how to ask it or go about getting any paperwork they may have. I also might be going without my mom, trying to be independent and I like this car and it checks off my boxes.

Also the transmission is continuing variable so I googled what the means and I just want to test drive the car and see how it feels driving it and if everything checks out I should be walking away with a car.

While I have time before the day I go I definitely want to see how much insurance would cost. I'm actually a bit excited but not wanting to get my hopes up. Most I lose is gas when I drive so it's a gamble either way
