[TOMT] edgy teen middle grade book

I remember the cover was hot pink with black text, the main character was edgy and had some kind of cutting or eating disorder thing. Her best friend was fat and wore a smiley face sweater and she joked “She was fat but had no tits which is the worst kind of fat.” and then there was a friend who was gay but not out but everybody knew it. There was also a popular boy who was described as “too hot“ to be their friend. It was about them being misfits and navigating high school. She introduced all the friends in a snarky way. This came out in 2011-2015 based on how I was way too young for it when I started it.

[TOMT] Book for older teens/young adults

The cover was hot pink and black. The friend group was misfits. The main character described them as one kid who was gay, one who was too hot/”normal” but a childhood friend, and one girl who was fat and didn’t get larger breasts as a result.

Why do people pay bond when they’re obviously going to jail?

I could understand paying bond if you thought you were going to be on probation/a short stint in jail/prison for your actions. But I was thinking of multiple instances where people who killed someone in a DUI incident paid bond (Tammy Sytch and Marshella Chidester). People who were clearly going to prison for many years no matter what.

Is there an advantage I’m not seeing in spending a little time not incarcerated when you know you can’t go back home for decades after sentencing?

I was watching someone’s video where they talked about being 200-something days sober, and I was curious how people who haven’t been prosecuted for illegal drug use don’t get in trouble for talking about that drug use before the statue of limitations is up? Is it because it’s not worth the time and effort to gather enough evidence to prosecute?
