Surprised I’ve never seen these pages before, I’ve had this book since I was a kid but have only ever skimmed through it. Decided to pick it up today to get some inspiration for a Fanganronpa me and my friends are working on and found some photos y’all might enjoy ;)

[TOMT][Children’s Program] Woman standing in a toy room teaching the alphabet

I’m looking for a set of VHSs I watched in Kindergarten in 2007-2008.

Our teacher would give us a set of three alphabet VHSs that we had to watch within a day before returning and passing them on to another classmate to take home. I remember falling asleep watching the first one because each of them were a few hours long.

Each letter of the alphabet would be introduced by a woman with Edna Mode-style black bowl cut standing in the middle of a toy room where she would say the letter before sounding it out with a close-up of her face to show how her lips moved for each sound before she would say a handful of other words that started with that letter. Ex: “B. Beeee. Bat, Bug, Bus, Baseball.” (I know she said bat like baseball bat for B but I’m not sure about the other words.) I think she was also wearing a pink long-sleeved button-up shirt but I’m not entirely sure. The toy room had brown floors, a white wall in the background and toys scattered across the floor including a beach ball and I think a rocking horse. A lot of the toys were old tinker toys or plushies but there were no brand-name things.

It would then cut to the letter being displayed on a blackboard background with a male voice narrating while little animations of things that started with the letter played beside it.

The VHSs came in a pack of three with each one having the letter range on the cover. I remember watching the first which was A-G but the other two I don’t remember other than the last one ending in Z. One of the covers was green, one was purple, but I don’t know the color of the third one. I don’t think there were any pictures on the front cover, but the back had pictures of the woman.

I watched them in 2007 or 2008 but the video looked very late 90s-early 2000s, so I’m not sure when it came out.

I’ve tried looking online for children’s vhs alphabet tapes, but I can’t find any that look familiar or have the alphabet separated into three different tapes.

[TOMT] Animated YouTube video about Russian guy complaining about school during the pandemic- “BALEEP”

A few years ago, during the middle of the pandemic lockdown, there was a video that went viral of a guy ranting about his experience with online school.

The main thing he complained about was constantly having to do Zoom calls and getting WhatsApp notifications on his phone, screaming “BALEEP BALEEP BALEEP BALEEP BALEEP” as more came in. I know he specifically says “FUCKING WHATSAPP” before continuing to scream about the beeping.

It was animated very simply with just black scribbled drawings on a white background. The guy was speaking in Russian/ukrainian/polish (I think it was Russian because there was some text in the video that looked Russian), but it had English subtitles.

I can’t remember if the guy making the video was the one who did the rant or if the audio was taken from clips of someone playing messages they had gotten from a friend. The title I think was just something simple like “WhatsApp Rant” or “Covid Rant”.

Which dolls should I prioritize?

I plan on buying all of them eventually, but there’s a sale on all six of these at a store near me and I only have the budget to get about 2 dolls right now. Are some leaving shelves sooner than others?

There are a few details like the arms fusing and the claws overlapping the hands, but I’ve never seen AI recreate this style before
