What if Rudy rejected the idea to marry Eris what would happen to the story?

With junior DxD latest volume being around high school DxD volume 17 time period. It’s possible we won’t see shin 5 until junior DxD catches up plus the author is trying to get the junior DxD cast involved with ExE plot line.

When I think about a heroic death a character like iron man comes to mind when he dies in avengers endgame he lived a life started a family and wasn’t downward spiraling like David was. And when people say the collab gave the series a happy ending just because it makes Lucy happy at the end it seems pretty bizarre to me when that happiness, was built on a lot of deaths. And her lover who sacrifices his life due to her getting caught by enemies because she wanted to act alone.

Edit: Also wanted to add after Maine died David was leading himself to his death due mental decline that maybe could have been fixed if his girlfriend at the time Lucy paid more attention to it. Rebeca was surprisingly, more caring towards David in his clear decline than Lucy was. And when David sacrifices himself for Lucy even he says how his life doesn’t matter and the only thing keeping him going is Lucy to me this feels more like a self delete death rather than a heroic death. I’m going to copy a quote from spike “You're gonna carry that weight” this should have been the ending towards Lucy rather than just make her happy like that collab did.

I think Hiyori and Ryuen will become overconfident with the idea that Koji will do anything to save Hiyori. And try to do a similar tactic that happened in recent volume but to their surprise Koji will trick them which will end in Hiyori potentially getting expelled.

In cyberpunk 2077 we see that Lucy makes some kind memorial thing for all the dead crew members however, the words she left for David felt less like lovers and more like regular friends. Which is weird because the anime established David was the only one who she trusted and was willing to give her life for and same for David. And we also find out that Lucy gave away David precious jacket to somebody, random who she never even met before V. And then for the collabs one of them has it to where she doesn’t remember who David is and the other is seemingly, her getting over David maybe.

Perhaps the writers who worked on the anime are different from the people currently, writing Lucy I know at least for the collabs it is but CDPR signs off on it… I just think the anime wrote David and Lucy relationship with lots of passion compared to how they do it in these games.

Is it safe to say shin 5 won’t be releasing this year either?
