Is it me, or am I being scammed by Hollow Socks?
A fellow redditor recommended Hollow Socks for my Amlodipine-induced edema. I decided to order 2 pairs under their BOGO 'Get 2 free' promo. It said $99.98 for 2 and specifically said $24.99/pair. I figured this wasn't a bad deal. Imagine my surprise when I was billed $188. Apparently this included $22 for shipping which was supposed to be free. This was their response when I questioned the charge.
Response1:
I understand why seeing four pairs on the invoice could be surprising. Order #xxxx contains four pairs of Compression Socks: two paid pairs and two free pairs. The Buy 2, Get 2 Free discount is shown on the invoice, so the promotion was applied.
I’m sorry, but the order is past the 45-minute cancellation window, so I can’t cancel it now. Once it arrives, you can start a return here:

Response 2:
You’re right to question the difference, and I’m sorry my last reply didn’t address the amount. The invoice shows CA$317.44 in merchandise, a CA$158.72 promotion discount, and CA$158.72 remaining for the items. It also lists CA$22.94 shipping and no tax, for a total of CA$181.66. I can’t reconcile the CA$158.72 merchandise charge with the CA$79.99 price you saw for two pairs.
A person from our team will follow up to review the promotion and charge on your order.

$317?? For 4 pairs of socks? Make it make sense.
NB: Since I'm past the generous 45 minute cancelation window, I'll have to do a return which comes with a $7.99 restocking fee, most likely for each pair.
So Reddit, is this a scam?
