En orden: 1-vista desde verda del Yunque - SJ no se ve por la bruma/polvo ... 2-Vista desde Toro Negro hacia la costa 3-Vista desde Toro Negro hacia Jayuya 4-Cosecha de fresas 5-Torres en Cerro Puntas a - 4,390 pies - (1,338 m) sobre el nivel del Mar 6-Carr. PR 143 La Panoramica que cruza Toro Negro - muy buena para caminatas, cruza tambien el famoso Cerro Maravillas donde hay paque y vistas 7-Arbol afectado por Maria 8-Dios es Bueno.

I am a forest explorer/photographer - images are all Nikon D850. Once stayed 3 separate weeks exploring the birth of rivers... Another access is via Naguabo -the other side of the forest. The main road is PR 191 near a great beach: Luquillo.

About backpacking - better travel light - its the tropics... bring water but there is plenty of drinkable water around. Don't get off trails since the forest is very thick ...

In the longest trail - TRADEWINDS (after end of road PR 191) it is a wilderness of immense variety and connects to 2 other trail and El Toro - the highest peak. The best easy trails are Mt Britton - leads to the view in Tres Picachos trail, Quebrada Juan Diego - with the waterfall shown at the end and Big trees or better the La Mina trail that goes along the river to an amazing waterfall. The best is that its fresh air (70-80F) - cool ponds and little direct sunlight...

Como se llega - no es dificil - pero escondido: Se sube la vereda de Mt Britton (como 1 hr), al final ven la torre de Mt Britton (que tambien tiene vista) y otra vereda llamada Mt Britton Spur Trail (que es bellisima) - la siguen por 30 min y ven una casita, varias opciones y un letrero - sigan Tres Picachos - ya solo es 10 min + al final una escalera larga. Aqui cruzas al lado de los tres picos. Tiene una pared bajita que permite la vista - de alli no salgas - es un risco. Las otras veredas son alrededor del Yunque y tienen muchas vistas tambien, incluyendo la que vemos de los Tres Picachos aqui.

Details: the 2nd image is the original Nikon D850 image from a deep forest exploration of the beginnings of the Holy Spirit river 21 days long. For most of the rainforest images the forest is dark, dense and deep (lots of details) - for years tried to make them accessible. Now I have 3 new steps and possibilities: a) us AI to fix the images with camera data - the 1st image - like cinematic etc and b) add a nature border - 1st image too and c) Modify the original in the style of a nature painter - last image - by H. La 1era is la vista desde Mt Britton hacia EL PICO DEL ESTE - se llega via calle cerca del final PR 191 izquierda - facil 2.5 horas, luego la vista hacia El TORO (pico a la derecha) el mas alto del yunque con 3,533 pies y su vereda es al final del Yunque PR 186 - mucho mucho mucho fango... como 4 horas, al frente esta EL CACIQUE al final LA MINA - estos dos no tienen veredas. Luego el pico del YUNQUE y sus antenas. Final vistas desde veredas de el Yunque. La ultima los Tres Picachos desde arriba. Nikon D850.

Vemos Palma de Sierra partida, arbol revive, arbol arrancado de la tierra/roca, un derrumbe de miles despues de Maria - y tambien en el centro de PR - noten el borde del derrumbe - el bosque sin docel y ultimo un Yagrumo partido en recuperacion. Nikon D850.

PR seria tan especial y bello si por ejemplo -- las carreteras tuvieran mas flores y arboles que hagan los viajes mas placenteros y las Isla un paraiso... hay tanto potencial con este clima! Camara - Samsung Galaxy s23 FE.
