I'm looking for the identity of a specific literature teacher I saw on, I think, Instagram. Please help.

I saw a couple of this guy's reels, was taken by his style and depth, and, cunningly, I forgot to save the reels.

It looks like he's teaching literature in middle school or high school. He's Black, middle-aged, and I seem to remember that he wears glasses. His lectures were vibrant and thoughtful. He was explaining literature in a way that made it seem like it was the most important thing in the world, and he was making powerful connections between what the students read and their own lives.

I know that that is not much to go on, but if you can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Even if you don't know the guy I'm referring to, you might turn me on to someone else who's just as good.

Thanks in advance!

Question about Ringo's work on "In My Life."

If we accept the idea that Ringo was one of four or five guys who essentially developed and codified what it was to be a rock drummer, I'm wondering whether "In My Life" is the first time on record that he had to think outside the box to come up with an unusual drumbeat, or did he have something earlier that I've missed?

Dissed by a second-grader.

My eighth-graders met with their second-grade book buddies yesterday. After it was over, one of the girls told me that her book buddy called her "Unc." It sent her into a minor existential tailspin. Apparently you're only old enough to be called Unc once you hit the venerable age of thirty.

I'm looking for read-aloud suggestions for eighth grade.

I'm in search of good read-aloud novels for eighth grade. They need to be school- and age-appropriate, yet still have enough of an edge to keep the kids interested. Any assistance you could give will be appreciated.

Here's what you're missing out on, city teachers.

This morning before school, a deer walked up to my classroom window and stood there scoping things out. This afternoon, we had to shelter in place because there was a bear on campus.
