How many mortgage quotes is too many?
I already have three loan estimates and every person I ask gives me a different number of lenders I should contact. At what point are you just splitting hairs over tiny savings?
Apparently dads are babysitting now?
Saw a dad in the supermarket with his newborn and an older woman told him it was nice that he was babysitting and giving mum a break.
He just looked at her and said Im her mum. I havent had much chance to look after myself since having a newborn.
She looked completely horrified.
He then admitted he was actually the dad and said he just hates when people call looking after his own kid babysitting.
Honestly, I get it. Babysitting makes it sound like dads are doing their partner a favour by parenting.
AITJ for taking my friend’s spare key back after he kept borrowing my car without asking?
My friend has had my spare car key for about a year. I gave it to him for emergencies because he lives nearby and there was one time he needed to move my car while I was out of town.
A few weeks ago I noticed my car had been driven when I definitely had not used it.
Asked him about it and he admitted he borrowed it to run a quick errand. His reasoning was basically that I gave him the spare key, so he figured it was fine.
I told him the key was for an actual emergency, not for borrowing my car whenever he felt like it.
He apologized and said it would not happen again.
Then he did it twice more.
The last time he put about 80 miles on the car and left it with less gas.
So I asked for the spare key back.
Now he is annoyed and says Im being dramatic over a little driving and that friends should trust each other.
Thats exactly why I gave him the key in the first place. Trusting someone with a spare key does not mean they get permission to use the car whenever they want.
Two mutual friends think I should have just let it go because he always gives the key back.
AITJ?
TL;DR: Friend kept borrowing my car without asking, so I took back his spare key. He thinks Im overreacting.
