Me and my friend were discussing some story elements and pet peeves came up that we had and I wanted to share some and no this isn’t a negative post.

Most of them are from the latest arc

1 . This one bothered me the most - why did Seraphina just let John get hit with arlos sneak attack, she actively had him in her arms why let him go and dodge and let an already damaged John get even more damaged cause I know if it was the other way around John would’ve took the blow or moved her of the way. We know she’s fast enough especially because her passive and she definitely has the strength to pick John up.

2. Orrin being way too high of a level . I wouldn’t have minded him being an 8+ but an 8.6 drastically changes the power dynamic and why were the authorities so incompetent as to put a rookie on the front lines against a high level target even with outdated levels without training. Anyway back to the power dynamic we all know mental abilities are extremely broken in the webtoon so him being 7-8.2 or something I wouldn’t have batted an eye but I feel like he has way too much weaknesses to be a 8.6 while also needing a whole strike team. Now with him being such a high level the chances of Jane being the strongest in the verse are extremely slim and we’re now expected to see much higher levels to maintain hype.

Now for my less important pet peeves/questions that can easily be debunked.

3. Why did Cameron take 0 reflective damage from absolutely demolishing arlos barrier. Obviously this can easily be explained by the power difference even so Seraphina also takes damage from obliterating his barrier or maybe because he was lighting it didn’t apply ?

4. Cameron being bitched by John , this one is more of a funny one but Cameron letting John just punch him but was willing to choke him on their first encounter maybe he does have a secret side that cares deeply for him but still he didn’t need the maid to step in especially with his grown man strength versus a teenager.

5. Last one I remember or wanted to talk about was how come Val didn’t use her barrier against her first encounter with the trio. Me personally if I was doing some top secret government stuff and I got found out by some kids I would not let them get away.

I despise the trio so much , as much as I try to like them I just can’t. It’s so boring to read I much prefer when they were in school but now it’s just a side storyline that just feels like filler cause lets be fr they can’t hang with ember the vigilante stuff is already getting bland and I much prefer John in the vigilante storyline , the only thing interesting is the enchantment drugs and that’s only because I want to see what it does to a high tier and why the authorities aren’t using it yet .

Anyway you get the gist , I’m writing this because I know they’re coming and the story is gonna get stale again and I much rather a time skip or whats sera gonna do storyline.

Julian (Sera’s dad) versus Cameron / John .

Kassandra and Headmistress reunion for information on wellston raid events.

Bureau gaining access to all spectre tech especially the disablers .

Keon and John reunion.

Training arc duh but I think it’ll take some time knowing how stubborn John is and we’re most likely going back to the trio next chapter.

Leliah , Darren and sera get back together possibly or sera goes back to the trio and that’ll help them win the next ember battle.

There’s nothing more ragebait than going against another doom that you know your better than but they just have a whole comp to stop you or they’re playing peelfist where they do nothing but peel for you and then you can’t even swap because it’ll make it seem like your getting diffed.

I know how to play against every counter but I genuinely can’t figure this one out and you can’t even absorb it like most other cc’s , he’s insanely fast and has free teleport and not to mention the perk that makes him do more damage to chained enemies

I swear all the mercy mains who don’t know how to play anyone else or retired mercy and swear they had made an epiphany and go juno. To me Juno is horrendous sure she has “utility” but it isn’t that good and her ult takes way too long to charge and I swear they still don’t ult.

As much as I hate the forced training arc I just can’t hate Cameron is aura is above the charts.

Orrin is a 8.6 and he’s not even the tip of the iceberg 😳

John and Seraphina are separated!!

Cameron one shot arlos barrier even faster than Seraphina ever did and threatened to no diff her!!

John got bitched again !!!

I’m expecting to go back to the trio after this.

I highkey just realized why Orrin feels so strong compared to everyone else in the battle . He’s one of the only god tiers depicted perfectly and what you would expect from a god tier as they were described in season 1 to be a one man army or borderline undefeatable if you were outside of the god tier.

God tiers have been treated like bums for so long I almost forgot what they’re supposed to be.

Well depicted god tiers imo are Val , Seraphina (sometimes) , Vaughn , Tarik and Orrin .

Anyway , is it possible for sera and maybe John if he even gets up because he’s helpless as always to win this battle ?

First Seraphina is trapped in a barrier yes it possible for her to one tap him but she’s also out of stamina from being controlled twice and I really hope kass doesn’t help them because that wouldn’t make much sense from a authority perspective so you potentially have a reinforced barrier she has to break out of , on top of that the reinforcements are incoming and fast id assume since it was a pretty long battle and the flare was shot . If there’s anytime to level up it’ll be now.

I think I’m so used to John being the stepping stool that it doesn’t even bother me when get washed anymore he’s close to being perma frauded. When uru did her reread during the season 3 break she must’ve really disliked the king John arc 🎈📌😂 swear shes trying to transition Seraphina into the main character as if being gigabusted wasn’t enough and you have arlo who’s barrier been broken and cracked countless times just upping these shits like it’s another Monday is John the only character with exhaustion. Don’t even get me started on Amelia busting these heals out like no tomorrow but we’re expected to believe healing takes way too much aura and to top it off believe that energy isn’t aura. Yea okay.

I think it would’ve been better for Orrin to command Jaxson to kill him then make Jaxson kill himself afterword . That would be one hell of a way to go out and close out his character arc , then that would spiral because mission basically failed for both sides (Authorities and Jera) and he choose his own way out solidifying himself as a great villian . To put the cherry on top they’ll fight for their lives instead of who gets Orrin.

Shits orisa , mauga every game . Orisa I can deal with , Mauga is too braindead and everyones ego is too big too swap to just make him pop from damage not to mention the predscan in the back aim-assisting you down to oblivion.

Anyway , I wanted to talk about John’s plan. If his plan is to get himself captured what’s stopping Orrin from just commanding him to Kill himself realistically instead of trying to work one of the hardest abilities in the series so far that not even the user has it down yet. Secondly I feel like aura manipulation should have some type of resistance like when he goes to take over it doesn’t let him or his body fights it like some type of spidey sense idk I just feel like aura manipulation should be much more than it is after this chapter after Orrin pulled out that necromancy.

And what’s with John huffing and puffing shit is overly annoying especially after he just no diffed? How exactly is he tired especially with energy siphon.

On second thought he might be a 8.0+ wtf guys just pulls out pseudo necromancy out his ass???

Though here goes John with the huffing and puffing.

Everytime i hold L2 and move my right joystick it just automatically goes up and no it’s not the controller. I also play on linear if that helps.

He remembered how to use his ability !!! We so proud of him.

First he combined multiple abilities again I thought it would never happen.

Second he used a high tier technique instead of all of a sudden not knowing how to use anything.

And lastly he’s won a fight without a struggle

My Orrin level prediction shot from 7.5+ but definitely less than 8 to like 7.0 maybe high 6s.

His most powerful ability is possession but also is his greatest weakness now what he’s just out the play or does he recover and just keep trying to command someone knowing everyone is barrier-d up?

Also I still think Valerie would’ve been the much better choice if he was such a high level since she’s anti terrorism weird that no anti terrorism agents are here which makes no sense but I’ll stop here before I go on a rant.

Is there just no freshman and sophomores in wellston? The way uru portrays them their usually baby faced but we never seen any the whole series not even in the auditorium.
