how to survive 1L in als

just received the acknowledge receipt email of my confirmation fee and i would really appreciate any tips that i could get as to how i could survive my first year in ALS 🥹

for context, i took a gap year (months?) before entering ls so i could mentally prepare myself. i graduated last year with latin honors at dlsu but i know i’m going back to square one, despite having a common “pre-law” program (polisci). i’m not going to pressure myself to do as great as i did in undergrad but rather, i just wish to enjoy all the knowledge i could possibly learn and survive as much as i can.

i’m really anxious about the profs and recits as an introverted person but i enjoy putting myself in situations where i could suffer in exchange of growth (how ironic). i also heard from a friend that intro to law was hard so.. one of my friends also decided to transfer out of ALS and that makes me even more anxious.

i’m also going to be out of the country the whole month in june so i don’t know if i could study in preparation for 1L or if i should just rawdog it and enjoy my time with family and friends before school starts.

either way, i’d really appreciate words of advice or if there are any other existing threads in reddit, kindly just link them below. thank you!

ateneo law school condo

hi, i just got admitted into ALS and i was wondering which condo would you recommend for my case? for context, i’m going to be roommates with my brother who will be going to DLSU for undergrad so i’d really appreciate it if you can recommend a condo that is fully furnished 2BR but not super expensive and not super far from ALS but also not super far from DLSU (preferably nearer to ALS, my brother can just take the grab). our budget is ₱30k-₱40k per month and preferably pet friendly and near to a grocery/convenience store/laundry shop.

so far, i’ve been eyeing on knightsbridge residences or acqua private residences but i’d appreciate your sentiments as well, thanks :)

admitted outright in ateneo law school/als at first try

posting this to say that i’m super duper grateful for all the tips i’ve gotten from this reddit sub! i still can’t believe i got admitted outright at first try, especially since i was part of the first batch to take the exams (i took mine on feb 28) so i had no clue how this year’s alsat was gonna go 🥹 literally all my blood, sweat, and tears were worth it. i know this is just the beginning and that i still have a long way ahead of me— that getting into ALS is one thing but actually making it ‘til the one is another. still, i’m truly grateful to all the former applicants who’ve shared their previous experiences.

if the batch ‘31 and above will be reading this in the future, feel free to drop your questions below and i’d be more willing to share my tips as well ♡

dlsu waitlist

what are the odds of my brother getting into dlsu if he’s waitlisted? i don’t see other posts of people getting waitlisted so i had to ask here. lowkey anxious for him bc he really does wanna get into dlsu.

for context, his chosen program is ab-cam. second choice is ab-pom.
