Mecha Show Pitch

This show would begin early in the life span of Mech usage, where mechs are still being used alongside jets and tank. These Mechs are slowly phasing out the tanks and jets due to their mobility, the capability of having jamming devices to prevent missiles, their customizable loadouts, and their general all use purpose.

The show would follow a former fighter pilot who looses their squad to an enemy mech patrol. The fighter pilot is transferred over to pilot mechs and to teach new recruits how to pilot them. From here is would be loosely inspired by Top Gun as he build to a large scale operation. The operation is to reclaim an critical airbase from the enemy. The operation goes south and the team gets shot down, so they plan to steal mech to reach a rendezvous point for pick up. As they try to steal the enemy catches them and tries to stop them the MC finds a jet and decides to fly one last time to save hsi new squad. The final fight would be the MC in a fighter jet facing off against multiple mechs trying to hold out so his team can escape, it ends with a fight with the rival of the show befire the MC gets shot down shortly after their team makes it out. It would timeskip after the war, where the MC was a PoW being released once the war ended. The MC's team cheers for their release, as the MC offically leaves the military to start a happy life away from bloodshed.

I really just want a cool fight between a jet and a Mech that isn't one sided.

Kingdom Hearts 3 appreciation post

I see people still act like KH3 killed their family in the alley, and it bugs me slightly. I see why people didn't like KH3, its does feel rushed, and the combat overall is easier than the previous mainline title, the wait lead to long time fans creating a better game in their head, and KH3 was setting up KH4 dud go Nomura wanted Versus XIII.

So I just want to say KH3 is my favorite game in the franchise. I love this game so much compared to KH1 and KH2, along with the side games (I never finished Re:CoM since the card gameplay didn't vibe with me, but I watched the story and it was decent). Anyway onward to why I like KH3.

1. The Worlds - The worlds on KH3 -for the most part- are some of the best in the series in my opinion with maybe the exception of KH1. KH3's worlds were so dynamic and large woth out ever really feeling empty -minus Big Hero 6- and all of them were gorgeous. I love how you can go back after you completed them and see Olympus rebuild or people walk about Corona. This is the first game since KH1 where the worlds truly felt alive to me. Even Arendelle my least favorite world in the game (due to its story) is still a blast to play through because its so pretty and the enemies of the world are fun to fight for the most part. I also love ther vericality of KH3 worlds blending the size of DDD with the interactivity with KH1. My issue with KH2 was always how flat and barrens the worlds felt flat, due to the developers having to assume Sora doesn'thave the Drive form abilites unlocked. KH3 Disney worlds felt more dynamic and accounted for KH3 faster pace moveset and verticality. KH3 worlds also has to best character moments for Disney characters since Beast in KH2. Woody calling Young Xehanort a lonely bitch, Sully and Mike throwing away Vanitas, Hero reuniting with Baymax, of Jack always having fun banter with Luxord once more. Yes the other half of the worlds follow their files but KH2 did this as well, as did BBS and KH1 to a lesser degree.

2. Combat - The combat though easy is still fun. Coming between enemies in this game makes me feel like Dante from DMC. The Ketblades and the form changes are excellent additions to the gameplay flow (I found myself using them more than Drive Form) adding more to Sora's arsenal and allowing more build variety. The Kingdom Key actually being a viable Keyblade for the entire game and the ability fo upgrade Keyblades and a wonderfully addition so players can keep their favorite weapon instead of switching every other world. The enemy variety is my favorite in the series, alot of the Heartless seem to match their world better than some in the older games (mostly the psp games). The attractions were fun my issue with them was moreso the music rather than gameplay and how often they can appear. I think reducing the rate of attractions to a couple of specific moment will help and not having Hand in Hand replace the battle music.

3. Bosses - KH3 has in my opinion the best overall boss roster. While KH2 has higher highs it also has lower lows (like the fire and blizzard lords, Genie Jafar, Atlantica, etc). Most bosses in the Disney worlds were memorable like in KH1. Bosses also have more arena variety than in KH2, like Mother Gothel's fight being around the tower with bumpy terrian, the King of Toys fight toy city arena, The Dinosaur Heartless in Big Hero 6, Davy Jones on the ship, the Replicas in Scala. Most fights in KH3 has fantastic arenas, unlike previous games having mostly flat rectangular or flat circular arenas. KH2 - DDD has this problem alot of these arenas which get boring after a while. One of my favorite fights in the series in Armored Xehanort due to the arena variety, going from a vertical arena, to an underwater arena, and ending in a ruined Scala is so cinematic while keeping the fight fresh without adding to many new moves. The final gauntlet also is good, from the Demon Tide, into the Lich fights, with the team fights making it feel different than just refighting Organization XIII again in the story (though I would've liked some 1v1 rematches), the Xehanort Triple threat is a really good fight with the best track in the base game, and the Scala fight - Xi Blade Xehanort are all fantastic fights. I do think KH2 final gauntlet is better overall, with the individual fights and the Xemnas final stretch is more climatic feeling.

4. Story - I know alot of people do not like KH3 story but I personally love it. The Disney worlds each added enough to the main plot -with the exception of Arendelle and Pirates. Olympus re-esfablishes the main crew and shows the Organization is up to no good, while also setting up Maleficent and Pete's goal in the next saga. Toy Box reintroduces Young Xehnort and follows the themes that everyone has a heart while also setting up the replicas through Young Xehnorts comments before Woody roasts him. Corona reintroduces Sora, Donald, Goofy to Marluxia, and reminds Sora of CoM to some extent while also introducing the New Princesses of Heart for later stuff, alongwith Gothel and Rapunzel mirroring Nanime and Marluxia thematically. Monstropolis revives Vanitas and the Unverse. San Francokyo further hints at the Replicas as it also introduces Dark Riku and further thematic show that everything as a heart. this leaves Pirates and Arendelle which retred Corna and Olympus, but Pirates gets the excuse of Luxord and Jack having the best banter between a kh Character and a Disney one. The final segment is great two, with Terranort getting Zetta Flared and the Demon Tide taking out each character one by one. Giving Riku a moment to save Sora while Sora is awake thematically repaying him for all the times Sora saved Riku. The Dive through the Heart sequence after the Final World is such a powerful moment to me, and I already went through the boss gauntlet. I actually like Xehanort's final moments, and felt they were appropriate (I'll do a seperate post breaking it down). My biggest complaint is the lack of a middle point like KH2 had, and its not that hard of a fix. Move saving Aqua and Ventus to the middle of the game to give the Keyblade Gravyard and Scala room the breath, I thank that would dramatically fix the fast pacing od the story.

Anyhow games are subjective. I understand why people do not like Kingdom Hearts 3, my issue is moreso how everyone acts like it killed their dogs and drank their milkshake when at worse its average. If you hate KH3 thats fine, but I love it. With the base game being my favorite in the series, and the DLC only adding to it.

Reimagining G-Saviour as a 50 Episode Anime (Part 1 Disc 1: Episodes 1 - 8)

So I've been getting into the G-Saviour time period and I fell in love with alot of the concepts and ideas that came from the movie in game. Due to it really feeling like a TV Pliot, I decided I wanted to rewrite it to better fit the 50 episode Gundam anime at the time. Even though I haven't read the LN I want the artstyle to match the cover of the two LN as they just look pleasing to look at. Before I begin I will be including concepts from the ps2 game, and plot points from the movie. I will be separating into 6 parts one part for each disc in a theoretical blue ray release.

Opening 1 would be a lyrical version of White Stream for G-Saviour Ps2 game.

**Arc 1 (Ep 1 - 3): Flight of the Gundam**

*Episode 1 - Deep Water Blues:* This episode loosely follows the opening 10 minutes of the movie where Mark Curren is navigating an oceanic trench for Hydro-Gen in hopes of finding a solution to the food shortages. We see Mark is very witty and sharp, taking order very lightly. While that is going on a rebellious force called the Illuminati led by a Gundam type MS attacks a CONSENT MS squad led by Jack. Jack repels the attack, before noticing a couple Mobile Suits falling into the ocean. On of Jack's squadmates get shot down. Mark saves them similarly in the movie before cutting to commercial break. Jack and his men come aboard the Hydro-Gen rig, showing that Mark and Jack have a history due to their hostility. Jack plays the straight man to Mark's wit, leading to some fun banter. Jack does thank Mark for saving one of his men, which Mark snarkingly replies back to before Jack warns him that a terrorist cell may attack the facility. Cut to Cynthia, Kobi, Franz, and Reed sneaking aboard the rig to steal some samples. Mark discovers them and Cynthia orders them to retreat leaving herself behind as she tries to take the right sample. Mark holds her at gunpoint and Cynthia tries to explain what she is doing before Jack enters and arrest Cynthia. Reed attacks the facility to cover their tracks, piloting a prototype version of the G-Saviour called the G-Protector. Jack goes out to fight Reed as Mark follows in the aquatic Mobile Suit to defend his coworkers from being caught in the crossfire. We see Jack using the rig as a shield as we learn that he believes if a twisted version of the "Lives of the Many" Jack and Mark force Reed to retreat.

*Episode 2 - Death of Mark Curren*: The episode opens with a nightmare of Mark failing to save his brother during a major battle. Mark wakes up to find Mimi. We learn they have a very loving relationship and that Mimi works as an intelligence officer for CONSENT in this timeline. Jack had invited them to the President's Gala due to Mark saving one of his men. At the gala we meet Garneaux, who serves as Mark's father figure. Garneaux is shown to be a caring figure to both Mark and Mimi. Jack enters the conversation and we learn Jack doesn't like the president for miss using Earth's resources believing he is embezzling them to other Settlements due to the president being a Spacenoid. Jack offhandedly tells mark where Cynthia ism Cut to Kobi, Franz, and Reed planning to break out Cynthia. We learn Kobi and Franz has a joking personality acting like siblings compared to Reed's stern nature. Kobi shuts down the lights to the Gala as Reed and Franz attack it with Reed using the G-Protector and Franz using a modified Bugus. Mark uses this to go find Cynthia and he does so learning that they were simply trying to solve the food crisis. Mark sets her free to see if this her prove it, which she does like in the movie but they are found by Jack just as Franz enters having parked his Mobile Suit. Mark has to choose but Jack opens fire on them all, leading to Mark being force to go with the terrorists. Franz gets shot but leads them to the Bugus. Mark takes control of the Bugus and helps Reed fend off CONSENT Mobile Suits. Reed escapes the G-Protecter as its destroyed by Jack in a CAMS-13 MS Rai. They reach the Air Field and Mark makes his final choice to join them in hopes he can save as many people as possible.

*Episode 3 - Angel in White*: The episode opens with CONSENT propaganda of what happened, declaring it a terrorist attack and Mark is working with the terrorists. Mimi is heartbroken by this, as Garneaux enters to consol her and to give her a mission to spy on Mark. Meanwhile Jack leads a strike team with his new second in command, Tim Holland -the pilot Mark saved in ep 1- to chase the terrorists. Tim cannot believe the man who saved him is a traitor, and is very much upset about it. Also a new member joins Jack's squad, Rysis. Mark, Cynthia, make their way toward Side 1. We see Mark bantering with the gang, hiding his doubt and regret with humor. The team arrives on Side 1, and Reed takes them to meet Philip the head of the Illuminati. We learn they are called that due to them controlling critical information across the Earth Sphere in direct reference to the Illuminati itself. We meet Philip the head of the Illuminati, who knows Mark since Philip was Mark's brother's wingman and declared MIA. Philip and Mark reference the event before Philip showcases the G-Saviour. Cynthia mentions needed to get to Side 8 with the algae so she can start reproduction to fix the food shortage. Philip informs Cynthia that she still needs to aid the Illuminati with their plans in preventing CONSENT and the Settlement Freedom League from forming an offical alliance for trade. Meanwhile Jack and his strike team attacks Side 1 to bait out the terrorists violating a treaty between CONSENT and the SFL. Mark volunteers to defend the side in the G-Saviour as does Reed who goes out in a RGM-196 Freedom. Mark faces off against Tim Holland Ina Bugu who is leading the Mobile Suit attack and Reed fights Rysis in a Bugu Custom. The two pilots repels the attack and the group heads toward Luna.

**Arc 2 (Ep 4 - 8): The Lunar Massacre**

*Episode 4 - Lightning Strike*: Cynthia, Mark, Reed, Kobi, and Franz head to Luna where they are intercepted by an Illuminati ship just before they reach the SFL fleet stationed over Luna's main port and the oldest city in the Earth Sphere: Von Braun. The ship threatens to shoot them down when Reed reveals the person talking to be Ben a member of his squad Lightning. They welcom aboard the team and Reed reunited with Lightning and his love Asaka which reminds Mark of Mimi who he misses. Cynthia notices and asks him about it, which Mark brushes it off with a joke. Meanwhile, Garneaux is chastising Jack over attack a SFL settlement and is lucky Garneauz was able to pull some strings to prevent an SFL retaliation and to maintain talks. Jack clearly disapprove of the talks. The topic shifts to Garneaux telling Jack they they were harboring an agent that would allow the Settlements create their own food, food they get from Earth which cannot be allowed. Jack doesn't see why, wanting Earth to be alone and seperate from the colonies, but informs Garneaux that the terrorists maybe heading toward Luna. Garneaux says he will inform SFL to ask for a joint operation. Cut back to the Lightning, Ben informs the group that the Lunar Assembly is in three days, and they plan to sign a military and trade alliance with CONSENT, where CONSENT supplies the SFL with Mobile Suits was the SFL supplies them with food. The Illuminati doesn't want this as they believe CONSENT will use this to infiltrate SFL ranks and attack them from within. Mark opposes this and protest leading to an arguement with Reed. Mark showcasing his want to not kill anyone. This leads to a fight and later a heart to heart between Cynthia and Mark. Jack locates the team, as his strike team traces the leaking Minovsky particles leaking from the G-Saviour after it got damage from the last battle, showcasing that technology advanced further in combating Minovsky particles interference. Tim Holland leads the attack once more as Mark and Reed go out to repels it. We see Mark trying to avoid killing by Tim backs Mark into a corner due to Tim tracking the G-Saviour, revealing the leak to Mark. This forces Mark to kill him in order for the team to get away, where he flashes back to his brother's death. The episode ends with the team landing on Luna.

*Episode 5 - Battle on the Dark Side of the Moon*: The episode opens on Franz taking off the G-Saviour's Flight armor leaving it in the Origin variant to fix the leak. Mark is called by Asaka, who informs the crew that they have shore leave for the day while the come up with a plan to stop the conference. Reed and Asaka go out and invites Mark and the Side 8 team to see the sights Von Braun. Mark and Reed bond a bit over their piloting skies but Reed points out that Mark is naive for being a former soldier. Mark tells him he hates killing due to loosing someone close to him in battle. Reed tells him that no soldier should like killing because it would make them no different for a murderer if they did. Meanwhile Garneaux's fleet which holds the President meets with the SFL fleet on the moon to prepare for the conference. The President informs Garneaux of the importance of this alliance for his re-election to which Garneaux warns that Anti-Earth Terrorist have been sighted on Luna. The President simply says he has faith that the SFL and CONSENT will protect him well, before leaving. Garneaux then informs Mimi they discovered Mark has landed in Von Braun, information he got from Jack. Garneaux questions why they would go to the moon of all places. Mimi requests to be able to go see Mark when they land. Garneaux accepts but reminds Mimi of her mission when he sees him. Cut to Jack who is livid at Tim's death and their loses. Rysis tells Jack that they could attack them now, but Jack reminds Rysis that he can't until he receives approval. We learn Rysis used to work for the Illuminati befire joining CONSENT, with Rysis informing Jack that the white Mobile suit was built by the Illuminati. Jack decides to send Rysis back to Side 1 then to locate the Illuminati facility there. We cut back to Mark and gang heading to the location where Neil Armstrong took his first steps on the moon. Cynthia wonders what lead the Earth down its tyrannical path. Franz contacts the team informing them that the G-Saviour is fixed. Cutting back to Jack, he finally receives premission to attack the Lighting Mothership in the port. Jack leads the assault on his Rai. The team races back to the ship to defend it leading Franz launching in a half armored G-Saviour Origin to protect the ship from Jack and his team. Jack is beating Franz but Franz is able to evacuate and Mark gets in the G-Saviour. Mark and Jack fight with Jack still winning cutting off the G-Saviour's arm. Mark is saved by Reed in a Freedom, forcing Jack to fly off to avoid too much damage. The episode with Mark meeting Mimi in the port.

*Episode 6 - Mark's Decision:* The episode opens with a cold open of Rysis attacking Side 1 once more in a prototype CONSENT Mobile Suit called a CCMS-04 Spearhead. Rysis destroys the Illuminati defenses before finding Philip and taking him hostage. We learn Philip has immunity in the SFL, due to the Illuminati providing the SFL with Mobile Suits. Cut to Mark reuniting with Mimi, both filled with joy. Mimi lies about being interrogated by CONSENT and asks Mark why he left. Mark says he found a way to help as many people as possible. Cynthia allows Mark to spend time with Mimi while they repair the G-Saviour's arm. We see their relationship has healthy ans loving with Mark showing regret for leaving Mimi behind and Mimi questioning her job. Cut to Jake stepping aboard Garneaux's vessel as Garneaux explains that SFL will not be aiding them in the search for the terrorist like he had hope but they will allow CONSENT to search in their territory. Jack reveals to Garneaux that SFL has been harboring the organization that funds the terrorists, as footage from Rysis taking Philip is shown. Garneaux notes that this could benefit them in negotiations on the Alliance deal. Cut to Mark and Mimi talking and Mimi begging Mark to rejoin CONSENT so they could be together. During the conversation Mark is hiding from CONSENT troops and Mobile Suits (Buguses) patrolling for them. Mark gets spotted leading to a chase with Mark dragging Mimi ending with Mark ending in an observatory staring at Earth. Mark decides to stay with the Side 8 gang, in hopes he really can help them. Mark kisses Mimi in the emotional climax of the episode, the Mimi reluctantly asks him if she can join him. Cut back to Jack and Garneaux, Jack asks if they should begin Operation: Scorched Rock, which Garneaux. There is no action scene this episode.

*Episode 7 - Lessons in History*: The day of the conference arrives and Ben briefs the team on the plan. Ben will go in as a representative of the Illuminati to advocate that the SFL remains completely independent while Reed provides security for him. Mark is tasked with diverting CONSENT Mobile Suits to prevent interference, while Kobi and Asaka upload evidence of Dr. Riva's discovery of the algae that CONSENT tried to hide, and their attack of Side 1. Mimi questions why a private organization is invested on the affairs of the SFL and CONSENT. Ben explains that the Illuminati provides the SFL with most of their Mobile Suits, but also funds their infrastructure which provides to Illuminati with information on the movement of everyone in the Settlements. After the briefing Mimi deletes the information on Dr. Riva, but she does hesitates. Franz reveals the G-Saviour Terrian armor to Mark, which will allow him to navigate inside Von Braun. Cut to Garneaux escorting the President to the Confrence meeting with SFL Prime Minister as majority of their representatives enter the facility. Meanwhile Jack pilots his Rai alongside Rysis in a Spearhead with their team in Buguses. Ben enters along with Reed, leading to a tense meeting as Mark his attack attack. Ben takes control of the conference, while Mark is struggling to hold out against both Jack and Rysis. We get a tense sequence of cutting between Ben, the CONSENT President, and SFL Prime Minister arguing as Mark tries to hold off CONSENT Mobile Suits as SFL join in the fight against Mark. Garneaux tries to call Jack about Ben, as Ben is about to showcase CONSENT hiding the algae but the file is deleted. Ben quickly shifts to the Side 1 attack by Jack, but Garneaux immediately plays his card of the Illuminati funding and harboring terrorists. Critiquing the SFL in keeping the Illuminati around as organization like theirs lead to people like Char rising to power over a hundred years ago, as he showcases the Illuminati building the mystery Mobile suit and more Illuminati MSes helping the Side 8 gang in attacking the Hydro-Gen rig. SFL tries to defend the Illuminati by stating Jack violated the treated but the President points out that the Illuminati by harboring and funding these terrorists they are a terrorist organization. The SFL congress is in outrage. Mark is taking severe damage as Rysis diverts back to the Conference. Mark warns Reed about it. Garneaux forces the SFL to decide what they will do to the Illuminati or it will mean war. The SFL offically outs the Illuminati allowing CONSENT to try to arrest Ben and Reed. Mark manages to escape Jack and help Ben and Reed escape the Conference and Rysis, both confused on how it turned South so badly. The Episode ends

*Episode 8 - Razing of the Moon*: The heroes prepare to leave, and Mark begs Mimi to stay on the moon to make sure she stays out of danger. Mimi insists that she comes along to stay with Mark, and Cynthia agrees with Mimi die to her background as an intelligence officer. Ben is outrage about how everything went so wrong, while Franz replaced the G-Saviour armor to the Flight armor. Meanwhile Jack and Garneaux talk about their success, with Jack lamenting that he failed to take down the White Mobile Suit. Garneaux now having authority over SFL ships and assets order them to search for the Illuminati, as the terrorists. Its revealed Garneaux was alive during the last years of the Federation and wishes to revive it. Garneaux orders them all to open fire to begin Operation Scorching Rock which would've been forshadowed earlier. CONSENT vessels fire upon Von Braun and the SFL vessels in a surprise attack. The Lightning Mothership is alerted of CONSENT ships firing on the city along and SFL ships. Ben questions why would they do this after gaining the alliance. He order the ship to evacuate and make to Side 8. Mark and Reed insists they aid SFL forces in defending the city. We quickly learn that at the same time the SFL military starts a coup in tandem with CONSENT's attack. Ben orders them to remain and defend the ship as they leave. Operation Scorching Rock is CONSENT with the aid of SFL troops who sympathize with CONSENT in annexing SFL space, right after the declaration of an alliance to garuntee most of SFL military was in one location. Jack leads the charge in Von Braun while Rysis defends CONSENT's fleet. Mark and Reed along eith the Lighting Mothership battle through the fleet to escaps. Rysis battles Reed while Mark annihilates CONSENT warships in rage. The episode ends with the heroes escaping whole many cities across the moon is burning. Garneaux goes to interrogate Philip on where Mark and the gang is going and to force Philip to work on project Ender and help finish Project Raven.

I hope you all enjoyed part 1 of this re-imagining of G-Saviour! This is more focus on overall plot I might make one post after I finish this going over character arcs. I might also do this with F91 if people like this. Any tell me your thoughts!

Hathway 2: Lane and Kenith my Beloveds (review time)

So I watched Hathway 2 over the weekend and I loved it. It was a fantastic movie but like Hathway 1 it very clearly belongs in a trilogy. I will mostly be avoiding spoilers, but the tag is still here for people's safety.

To start out the review, usually in Gundam there is always one character I despise for some reason or another. The original had M'Quve, Zeta had Reccoa, ZZ had Mr. Clean, CCA had Quess' dad and (jokingly) Quess, F91 had Theo, Victory had (jokingly) Shakti, and Turn A has Will Game. Hathaway is the only one thus far to not have a character I absolutely despise in some sense which goes to show how well done the characters are for the most part. The animation on the characters is great, with Gigi looking absolutely gorgeous in all her outfits. The issue I have with the characters is there are simply too many for the movie's own good but thats just an issue Gundam has always had. I will be saving my two favorite characters for the end.

I also liked the slower pace compared to the first one. The second movie took its time, establishing a clear goal for our team to complete along with very good character work. It shows Kenneith is a womanizer for the most part, Gigi's motivations are better explained, and Hathaway's ptsd is further explored. It builds relationships with the side cast much better than the first one. The fight scenes though fewer, with one of the two lasting barely a minute are great. The final fight Lane and Hathaway is still fun and exciting though I have minor complaints.

I love Kenneth is treated as a constant threat for Hathaway building this cat and mouse rivalry between them that was established in the first movie. This film though is very much Gigi's movie. You spend alot more time with her, learning alot more about her. I love how she uses Kenneth to get to Hathaway, but slowly learns to see Kenneth's view of the world that sometimes you just got to deal with bullshit to get what you want. Which leads me to my two favorite characters Kenneth and Lane and my biggest gripe with the film. I wished the had more screen time, mostly Lane.

(WARNING: SOME SPOILERS AHEAD)

The reason I love these two is due to Hathaway feeling like a reversal of a Gundam Anime, what if we followed the Char Clone over the standard Gundam protagonist. Lane in the first film is show to be a rookie pilot, who wishes to fight honorable to show that he is worthy of piloting the Penelope, worthy of piloting a Gundam like heroes such as Amuro. Lane contrasts well with Kenneth's willingness to play dirty to win and stop Mafty. So Lane refuses to use the hostage leading him to loose pretty badly. In this film he is shown to be angry and upset, believing he should've listened to Kenneth. Lane becomes resentful at the idea of a fortune teller, wanting his own wit to beat Mafty now. This doesn lead me to my issue with the final fight. I wish Lane got a couple of more hits on Hathaway especially during the ptsd episode, to show Lane has improves since their last duel. I would've like Lane to also play a bit more scrappy against Hathaway, showing he learned his lesson. Lane and Kenneth also should've had more scenes together in my opinion but I think they'll get more moments in the finale. (Please don't change the finale, Bandai!)

Not the ending the film is good but man O'Sweet Child of Mine was not it, I feel like we needed a song closer to Mobius for the ending. Snooze was an ok OP song, I just didn't vibe with the opening animation itself and wished it played over that opening recording instead like the trailers showed.

Overall Hathaway 2 was much better than the first so I'd give a solid 7.5/10 maybe an 8/10. I will hold off on ranking Hathaway as a whole until the third one comes out.

The Hate for ZZ 1st half is overblown

I sincerely don't get the hate for ZZ's first half. Yes its on the lighter side but the way some people talk about one would think every single character is a clown, with no moments of seriousness of gravity. When in fact there are plenty of heartfelt moments throughout the first half of the show, from when Leina gets kidnapped, to when Elle defends Beecha and Mondo from Judau, and everything with Puru. Heck the comedy by the time they reach Axis and head to Earth reaches a solid middle ground between the two halves.

The villains are treated a bit more comically, bit I feel like that makes them stand out more. Chara and Mashyrme (mostly Mashyrme) loose alot of what made them loveable during the transition from a more comedic show to serious. The only villain to survive the transition and improve is Glemy, but it felt like an arc for Glemy rather than a sudden change as Glemy was allowed to be a persistent threat through the transition. And the first half knew when to treat the villains seriously, for example Haman is never treated like a joke in the first half of the show when she appeared. Gottn was a solid villain throughout the first half as well. The second half didn't really have any memorable new villains, outside of Puru-two as they became closer to Zeta's Titans where a new villain appears and dies faster than you could learn anything about them.

Another complaint is how Fa is treated and I fully agree. Fa is done dirty in the first half of ZZ but we can't act like she was ever done well in Zeta. Throughout Zeta everyone says Fa isn't a good pilot compared to everyone else, she doesn't even have a single victory to her name. Zeta shows that Fa's place is aboard the Argama rather than the battlefield. I wish ZZ showed her taking down someone but we can't really act like she was much more useful in Zeta. For also being distracted by Kamille she did handle herself pretty well. There wasn't a world where Fa was going to become like Emma, and be a consistent competent pilot unfortunately.

Another complaint I see is there are more filler or worthless episodes in the first half. I would argue against it as every episode in the first half served someone's arc. Moon Moon served Beecha's and Mondo's turn back to the AEUG, Crybaby Cecilia served to wrap up Gottn's story and have Chara escape. Every episode served a purpose to some extent. These episodes are also quite funny and entertaining as everyone's personalities bring about interesting scenarios.

While the second half has higher highs with Leina's Blood, Dublin, and Core 3 til the finale are all better than the best episodes of the 1st half; but the 2nd half also has lower lows. The episodes after Leina's Blood where they were in Africa dragged and were dull, with most characters felt pointless or even out of character minus Judau, Glemy, and Puru. Then you get the best arc in the show with Dublin, followed by an ok episode, which is then followed by my three most hated episodes in all of Gundam. These three episode serve as a pseudo sequel to the Moon Moon two parter which was entertaining despite how many people hate it. These three episodes are boring, dull, and served little purpose to anyone's arcs outside of killing off a love interest for Mondo which he forgets the next episode, and reminding people Haman is still the main villain. These three episodes make Mashyrme boring, imo the best villain of the first half reduced to a boring loyalist. Then the next episodes are about on par with the Dublin.

ZZ's first half in my eyes is on par with its second half. I'm glad the show took a lighter tone than Zeta because it allowed the group to shine more. By the second half outside of Judau, Glemy, Haman, and Puru, the gang all become duller and more uninteresting overall. Roux after she deserts for an episode looses all agency until she kills Glemy, Iino looses all relevance after Leina's Blood, the same with Elle, Mondo exists after he Africa; Beecha at least becomes captain of the Nahel Argama.

I can understand not liking the lighter tone to a degree, but people act like the first half murdered their dog. I came into ZZ looking forward to it being lighter after Zeta, I didn't want it to continue the misery of the Zeta finale. Its not fun to remain miserable between two shows. If you want a darker version of ZZ's plot watch Victory, with Victory at times being darker than Zeta but unlike Zeta it knew when to tell a joke so it didn't wallow in its misery for the entire show. I like Zeta alot and ZZ's second half because if Leina's Blood, Dublin, and the final episodes, but I'm tired of acting like only 50% of the show was good when the precentage is more akin to 75%, 15% was ok, and 5% was actually bad.

Edit: I'm shocked no one has yet to notice my bad math. Unrelated rant, I hate how all my negative posts get ton of attention but my positive passionate ones no one looks at. Like a made a post gushing over how much I love Victory's finally and barely anyone responded or looked at it. I know negativity gets more people, but it sucks.

Mild Rant of the Pendragon Family Drama

So this just won't leave me head as I rewatch Zero, but it bugs me that Mordred, Morgan, and Artoria (Saber) don't interact with each other at all. For context of why I am ranting about this King Arthur's legends are some of my favorite myths with Lugh's myth in Irish Mythology right after. So its no surprise that the Knights of the Roundtable are among my favorite servant group.

Artoria is a stand out character for me for most of Fate Stay Night, and Mordred was the second best part of Apocraypha (how tf do you spell it!), and Morgan is arguable the best character is Lostbelt 6 in FGO. It just bothers me that only really Artoria's is the only one to fully move on from her past, while the other two's are kinda stagnant. Mordred still believes Artoria hates her even though she no longer seeks the sword and Morgan hates Artoria because >!she has PHH Morgan's memories!<. I fully believe for the most part, Artoria's overall story is over; however she is so intertwined with Mordred's and Morgan's that she still should be used to wrap of their arcs.

I want to see Mordred and Artoria (Saber) talk to each other, they don't have to like each other but Mordred needs to here that Artoria doesn't hate her from a more laid back Saber who had gone through her arc. It just kinda feel like the resolved Mordred's feelings with Artoria offscreen which sucks. I also want to see Morgan and Artoria actually interact, and for them to acknowledge how bad PHH Morgan was. I don't think they should resolve the amity either feel, but they should further seperate why LB Morgan hates Artoria from her PHH self.

I hope Im wrong and that there is a Manga, event i missed, or something that has want I want but to my knowledge that doesn't exist.

Opening pages of my King Arthur book.

This is the first five or so pages of the book, which to me is the amount of time I have to capture the reader's attention. I want to know if they catch the readers attention and I wish to know first impressions. A couple things of note: this is still a first draft of this specific variation of the project, yes Merlin is meant to be an asshole, and lastly I am very bad a pacing so any advice go pace these pages better would be nice.

Prologue

Tonight is a night of miracles, a phrase many have uttered. And it was for the people as their prince was being birthed in the castle of Camelot. A miracle of life it was. Unfortunately for the court mage, it was an annoying and stressful day for him lacking the sort of joy or excitement.

Merlin had lived through many births and deaths to the point where he no longer cared. Which is why out of all the members of the King’s court, he was the only one not there to witness the birth of his lordship’s son. Instead he stood outside, leaning against the white wooden railings of the queen’s balcony.

Merlin’s black greying hair and regal white robes flowing with the evening breeze. His silver staff levitating by him, the head of the staff looked like a six winged angel, with a purple gem serving as the eye. Behind the mage was a door covered in a pinkish aura, where muffled screaming can be heard. Merlin let out a sigh as he glanced over at it with an irritated expression as his pink eyes glanced behind his shoulder.

“The miracle of life, by god I wish it was quieter,” Merlin mumbled to himself, turning back to the stars above him.

The mage stared at them with a longing expression. Merlin soon heard the door creak and moan, followed by the screaming of a woman in labor. Merlin growled to himself seeing a breaded brown haired man in glimmering silver armor and a purple cape draped over his right shoulder. The man’s left hand was gripping the hilt of a sword which had a silver pommel and the hilt ordained with red rubies, the blade is in the leather sheath which sat on the left side of his belt. Merlin stared at the man with deadpanned eyes for a moment before turning back to the stars.

“If you came out here to avoid that incessant screeching then please close the door, Ser Ector.” Merlin started with a yawn.

The knight looked at Merlin appalled by what the mage just said. Ector took a few steps forward, his armor clanging against the floor as he moved. Once Ector was out of the way of the door, Merlin flicked his wrist and the door slammed shut with a gust of pinkish wind.

“That is your queen in pain in there, Merlin,” Ector growled at the mage, “I recommend you treat this night with a bit more respect.”

“I am showing plenty of respect by not being in the room, or would you rather me groan and complain over and over about that hideous screaming you humans do,” Merlin responded as dramatically and with as much sass as possible.

“I don’t know why the king keeps you around,” Ector muttered with disgust.

Merlin laughed at the knight, finding the comment quite entertaining. The mage turned his gaze toward the silver knight. His pinkish eyes stared directly into Ector’s own green eyes. Merlin’s pupils were odd compared to that of the human knights, they were like six pointed stars.

“Because I’m entertaining, my dear little knight,” Merlin grinned.

Ector let out a deep growl before turning around to the door. He hated interacting with the court mage with a passion. His lack of care for any situation, his absolute disrespect for his lord and lady, and his demeanor. He despised almost everything about the wizard. Ector didn’t have the patience to keep dealing with Merlin, so he simply turned toward the door. As he reached out toward the knob, it opened revealing their lordship. The sounds inside were replaced by the crying of a little child. Ector immediately straightened and bowed before him. Merlin merely glanced, slowly turning around toward him completely.

King Uther Pendragon stood before them. His beard is full and graying, his hair neck length and curly. His golden crown resting atop his mane. He stared at them with his emerald eyes, beneath his aging beard he had the smile of a father.

“My son is born,” Uther chuckled to himself.

Ector stepped toward his king and patted Uther’s shoulder.

“That is fantastic, mi’lord,” Ector responded with a smile on his face.

Merlin let out a hollow laugh, resting his elbows on the railing. He stared at Uther with a smile, though it wasn’t one of happiness or relief.

“Great, we can finally set our plan in motion,” Merlin laughed, “I suspect the Pale Drake is already on his way.”

Ector gave the mage a glare. Uther lightly pushed the knight aside, his smile fell as quickly as it appeared. He knew of their plan, of Merlin’s plan is to stop Uther’s brother Vortigern from slaughtering him and his heir who was just born. They would take his son away while Uther faced the Pale Drake himself, but he was fearful of how that would leave his wife, his newborn son, and his… daughter.

“You are usually right, but could you at least allow me some time with my only son, Merlin, Uther asked the mage.

Merlin simply nodded and sighed. The mage has little care for the flesh spawn, but for his old friend he was willing to wait a bit longer.

“You are my king, Uther,” Merlin stated haphazardly. “It’s not like I could say no.”

Uther gave him a thankful nod, as he and his knight stepped into the room shutting the door behind them. Nurses surrounded the bed, torches illuminating the room. There was an elegant carpet just in front of the dresser which sat right next to the large king sized bed in the middle of the room. Glimmering purple curtains draped over the sides of bed, the silhouette of a woman holding a child in her arms. It would be a beautiful sight for Merlin -the lighting, the contrast, the framing of the scene was perfect- if it wasn’t for the crying newborn in its mother’s arms. Merlin's face showed his irritable mood, which was noticed by most of everyone in the room. Even the queen herself –who by law was moreso a princess than any sort of ruling monarch but most called her queen out of respect– who gave the court mage a mischievous smirk before looking at her beloved husband.

Queen Igraine Pendragon is known for her elegance, kindness, and snark. Her long dark hair cascading down her shoulders, her head covered in sweat from the labor, her tired pale blue eyes filled the love of a mother. Igraine looked at Uther who sat at the edge of the bed. Her face has the most excited smile. Her arms cradling the most precious thing for the King and Queen, their son. Anyone other than the court magician wouldn’t notice that mischievous smirk she gave him, or the villainous glint in her eyes. In all honestity, Merlin hated the queen simply because she knew every button to piss him off and there was little he could do about.

“Isn’t he beautiful,” Igraine asked Uther, her voice soft and kind.

“Almost as beautiful as you my dear,” Uther responded, his voice low and gentle. “And as such he deserves the most wonderful name.”

The queen giggled at the remark. The little boy in her arms squirmed about without a thought in his little newborn mind. Her blue eyes staring into the child’s emerald eyes, the same eyes his father possesses. “His name shall be Arthur,” Igraine declared.

“The perfect name for an heir,” Uther whispered. Igraine slowly put the child in her husband’s arms.

The king graciously accepted his son, his rough yet kind hands gently supported little Arthur’s head while his other arm held the squirming body. The boy slowly opened his eyes, emerald circles stared into each other. Arthur stared up at his father, his eyes finding a strange figure before him. The child found water leaving the eyes of its father. Uther found a somber joy staring at his son for the first and most likely last time. Igraine touched Uther’s leg with a calming pressure. The position wasn’t the most comfortable for the queen due to how Uther was sitting on the bed beside her, but she made it work.

Ector -for the loyal and kind knight he was- said not a word to the king, merely periodically glaring at the magician to make sure Merlin didn’t say a word that could possibly upset the royal. Merlin glanced at his nail, leaning his staff trying to ignore the feeling that the queen was planning to embarrass him. Unfortunately, for the court mage it wasn’t long before Igraine’s devious went into action.

“Merlin,” she spoke, earning the cautious glare of the wizard, “would you like to hold little Arthur, since you and Ector will be taking care of him for the foreseeable future?” Though Merlin could hear her typical playful tone, he also heard the guilt and grief in the way her voice shook. Yet, the mage didn’t care for such emotions, his ego was simply too large to even glance at her with anything but careless eyes. Merlin gave a simple laugh.

“Oh, I don’t deal with kids shorter than my knees, my queen. Ector will be the one actually caring for the heir. I shall mostly focus on the Fae bastard.”

His final sentence earned the ire of everyone in the room, but Merlin didn’t care. He wasn’t wrong in his statement by any means. Merlin felt Ector’s glare piercing the side of his skull and he saw Igraine gain a scowl on her face. Uther’s expression was unreadable to all except little Arthur, who stared confused at the sudden shift in the room.

“Now King, if you could please hurry up and hand your dearest knight the whelp before the guards catch sight of the Pale Drake,” Merlin requested, his careless voice laced with a hint of seriousness.

“How dare you disrespect the King’s kin, you daemon,” Ector growled, earning Merlin’s laugh.

“It doesn’t matter now Ser Ector, words cannot be taken,” Uther paused, slowly getting with Arthur. He walked toward his most loyal knight slowly, hesitantly, and mournfully. “No matter how hard we try.”

Uther gently places his son into Ector's arm. The knight's armor was cold and hard, yet his touch was as gentle as fur. The anger he felt toward the careless mage melted upon seeing the innocence in Arthur's eyes. Ector knew that innocence all too well -being of father himself- it was an innocence that he hoped Arthur would never lose under his watch.

Under What Circumstances could one of the Extra Classes be summoned (minus Ruler)

So I was playing FGO like one naturally does and thought about this. Servants themselves are only summoned during Grail Wars or by the Counter Force to kill someone. So under what circumstances could it be possible to summon a Pretender, Avenger, Foreigner, etc. Like Rulers can only be summon during Greater Grail wars as basically a refferee, so would the other classes play a specific role in a Holy Grail war.

I an fine with headcannons as there is to my knowledge no actual answer. Plus hear me out have a Pretender in a Holy Grail war would be funny, it doesn’t help that much but it would be funny.

So I've been listening to Epic and watching Fate. This leads me to want to see Jorge try his hand at some Myths and Legends. Here are the ones I believe he could do fantastic with.

Titanomacy - This is an underrated myth in the Greek Theology, and I would love to see it Jorge try his hand at. Since most of the events in the war itself aren't stated it leaves room for Jorge to do his want he wants with these characters, and since he had three of the original 6 gods casts we wouldn't have to do a complete recasting. You also can't tell me a Kronos, Atlas, or Hyperion villain song wouldn't go hard. This could be followed by Heracles as he directly deals with Atlas and Pormethus in his labors making it a solid sequel.

Arthurian Legends - Jorge has shown he is capable of writing emotionally stoic yet caring men which is most of Arthur's tales. I think his Saga structure works well for Arthur as well, has he has so many tales and so many villains, characters, and arcs, I think it would work. I am also curious how he would write Mordred, how he make the Treachrous Knight either more sympathetic or more villainous like his original version. I would love a three way love ballad between Lancelot, Guinevere, and Arthur; or a song with Arthur and Sir Kay.

Cut Chulainn - This story I think is perfect for Jorge's style, plus its a somewhat similar layout to the Odyssey with Cu Chulainn having story arcs in his overarching story. The musical would obviously end in his death, but Irish Heracles needs his due. I would love to see the Irish pantheon and how he treats the likes of Lugh. Plus a training song woth Scathach similar to Warrior of the Mind would be amazing.
