Some people locked up with Gypsy Rose had some interesting things to say but do you think she'd really do this again?

There are a ton of women claiming to know Gypsy and saying they were locked up with her for years and they knew she'd do this again.

Many people said the Hulu movie made her the victim that she really wasn't and it's just hard for us to accept that we were all fooled by Hollywood. Many people say her family is afraid of her and tell the story they are forced to tell. Some people think that Gypsy mom was actually protecting others from Gypsy. There are stories about how Gypsy tried multiple times to unalive her mom but it didn't work.

Here are a few screenshots of what people who were locked up with her had to say. What are your thoughts though?

The Suspect Short Film Teaser-Psycholocial Drama

The Suspect Short Film Teaser-Psycholocial Drama

Hi everyone! I’m a newer filmmaker, writer, aspiring producer and actor currently developing The Suspect, a psychological drama proof of concept inspired by real-world stories.

Teaser: https://youtu.be/PDgWh0rBw0U?is=wpWhAYCgsGKO-YS7

It follows a mother whose two children go missing. What begins as a search for the girls gradually shifts as detectives begin questioning whether their mother knows more than she’s telling them.

We filmed the core performances last year with a wonderful cast and crew, and I’m now finishing the additional visuals and post-production.

This is my first time stepping this deeply into the filmmaker/producer side of a project, so I’d love to connect with other indie filmmakers and hear what you think of the teaser.

Teaser: The Suspect

I’m especially interested in creating narrative work inspired by real events that can also bring awareness to issues people sometimes overlook.

Have you ever taken the Flixbus to Vegas from Phoenix?

It's me again. I dont know why my family keeps asking me about taking buses out of Phoenix to other places.. Living here for over ten years, and I HAVE NEVER taken a bus to leave Phoenix. I'd imagine that if the AC goes out, you'd feel like you're riding in an OVEN! So I always FLY or DRIVE out of Phoenix. Ok, done with my rant. My family is visiting from the midwest. They have plans to see as much of Arizona and a nearby state as they can in <30 days. I told them that Nevada is close and I usually get there in 4 1/2-5 hours. They will mostly be staying with me, but will visit places like Sedona and, now Las Vegas. Since I am working, I can't really be their tour guide. But I am guilty as I am the one that planted Sedona and Nevada into their brains and now my uncle (60s) is gung ho telling me they will not be renting a car and dont want to use Groom.

They don't want to drive anywhere. It is 6 of them, ages 60s, 40s, 20s and toddlers. Have any of you ever tried taking a "FlixBus" to Vegas from Phoenix, Tempe, or Glendale? What was your experience. they are looking for the most inexpensive way to travel together.

Has anyone ever taken the greyhound from Phoenix to Sedona?

Family visiting but I will be working and can't spend time showing them around much. I told them to go up to Sedona. They want to take a greyhound from Phoenix to Sedona. They plan to stay in Sedona for a day or two. Has anyone ever taken specifically, the grey hound? They already looked at groom, and felt they were too expensive for their household of 6. If you have taken the greyhound, or transportation cheaper than groom, can you let me know your experience? They booked at the Amara Resort & Spa in Sedona if that helps but are staying with me in Phoenix for a few days before they head up.

Update.

They still have time to cancel the reservation if anyone has easier and better idea. Their ages are 60s, 40s, 20s and toddlers. So something that works for that range. They don't want to drive.

Feedback on 4-page drama short scene: does the teacher’s monologue feel earned or too preachy?

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a short drama scene called The Last Drama.

The premise is that this is the last drama school/class in town, and most of the students are more focused on content creation and online fame than theatre. The main character, Ms. Angie Vale, is a drama teacher who still believes deeply in Drama/Theatre.

In this scene, she is working with a new student on Hamlet’s “To be or not to be” monologue. He loves theatre and literature, but he keeps getting stuck because he thinks the problem is memorizing the words. She finally snaps and tells him the issue is not the words and tells him what she feels he is lacking in the scene.

I’m mostly looking for feedback on:

  1. Does Ms. Vale’s speech feel emotionally earned, or does it become too preachy?
  2. Does Elliot’s breakthrough at the end feel believable?
  3. Is the contrast between theatre/art and content creation clear without feeling too heavy-handed?
  4. Are there any formatting or dialogue issues that pull you out of the scene?

This is an early draft, so I’m looking for craft notes more than a full rewrite.

Thanks in advance.
