How were these intended to be used? Did they sell adapters for the cables?

I’m really interested in one of these little quatravox synthesizers, but I’m really unsure how they were meant to be used since they’re supposed to go to speakers, but have RCA ports on the back of the device. I suppose adding an RCA end to some speaker wire isn’t the hardest thing in the world but I really would assume there was some kind of purchasable option to connect this thing right when you got it home. Any info would be appreciated, thank you!

It’s been asked before- but I just wanted to be safe.

Found this obscure 60’s modular home stereo set. The receiver is far past working condition, so I have no clue if the speakers work due to the RCA connector tips. My question is: can I just snip the ends off and strip em down to the bare wire like you typically would see? I feel bad for altering such a pristine set but what good are speakers you can’t even plug in. I just wanted to be safe and sure before making a decision. Thank you.

240hz buzz coming from Realistic STA-2600

Hello! Wanted to ask some quick questions before making any potential repair endeavors. My Realistic STA-2600 is in beautiful cosmetic and internal shape, no leaky capacitors or any problems that I could spot visually. However, when I plug the unit in and power it on I get a faint 240hz buzz. It’s not noticeable when any audio is playing nor when more than a few feet away, but knowing it’s there is about to drive me nuts lol. Is there anything I can try? The noise 100% comes from the unit, not cords, or speakers.)

Anyone got any knowledge on this thing? Aircastle TA-206B Solid State Stereo Receiver

This has to be my most exciting, strange, and disappointing find of all time. Unfortunately the unit just does not work. No lights, no sound except hissing static in one speaker.
I cannot find an ounce of information on this thing aside from one single listing on eBay (no speakers). The brand is known for radios and alarm clocks and went out of business around the time I’d assume this product was made. It seems to be one of, if not the only receiver Aircastle ever produced. Unsure what to do with it, frankly.

The unit runs absolutely beautifully except for a little hum that I thought could maybe be from a leaking capacitor or some other debris/damage. When I popped the panels off to get a look inside, it was absolutely mint! I’m not sure if all my secondhand receivers I’ve had in the past have just been overly dirty or what but for a 40 year old piece of tech I expected atleast a little more dust. I am thrilled. If anyone could help with the source of the hum I would greatly appreciate it!
