04 Jimmy paint blemish fixing help

Recently got a new to me vehicle I’m trying to keep nice. Well taken care of but 20 years is 20 years, I don’t know anything about detailing but want to learn some to maintain the cleanliness myself easier. I’m in a small town but there is a local detailer and painter but wondering if I could fix some of these issues myself. Theres the paint and scrapes and then that sun damaged plastic. Help or pointers on products, techniques or YouTube channels would be great

04 Jimmy finally found need some help

Pretty mint with 140k km on it. Looking for some tips for restoration steps. Lookin for some tips of fixing this sun damaged plastic, I also plan to undercoat it. What products would be best to clean and restore the dash inside and the other outside plastics.

Any other tips for basic mods welcome, don’t plan to off-road and will likely just keep it a pavement princess. I live in the country and plan to get a front bar so I don’t lose to a random deer, tips on style or places to buy would be nice. Thanks in advance

Manitoba hydro furnace grants

I’m one of the many affected by the flooding, long story short, basement had 4 feet of water and need a new furnace. Looking to upgrade with my emergency fund to something decent and want to put in a central air system, I know and have heard hydro has grants for more efficient systems or units. Anyone have any experience with this? General advice? Is it worth looking into their options to add to my monthly bill to help afford ac or better more efficient units?

Newer homeowner, looking into improvement or DIY beginnings

I bought my place 2 years ago. A massive flood ruined my neighbourhood and flooded my basement. It was previously finished, I don’t plan to refinish it. But during the demo it became very apparent to me that I truly have no idea what I’m doing as well as I have zero tools.

My father is a red seal carpenter and is fairly handy, so luckily I can borrow his whenever. I’m under no time constraint or rush to get my own, but I want to stop having to bug to borrow every little thing. He loves his dewalt tools so it would naturally make sense that I too buy that brand, for ease of sharing etc. But they’re quite expensive and anything I have will likely get a lot less usage. It feels like I’m buying a lot more tool than I need.

What I wanna know is what brand do you guys use for home improvement and diy projects? Do you wish you bought something with more or less capability? I’ve seen some people say just buy cheap and replace what breaks with expensive and this seems like decent advice, if I use it often enough to wreck it, it would make sense to replace with a more robust brand/make. Any general tips for beginners? Mistakes you’ve made? Anything helps

Good follow along video for stretching and beginners?

Recently moved locations at my job and now I sit in a small area for 12 hours monitoring stuff. I have a lot of time I could stretch and move around as I’m already getting sore sitting for so long. I’ve been a big guy and not very flexible my whole life and this seems like a good time to really focus on stretching and building a foundation. I work best visually learning from something/one. Was hoping one of you might have a good video recommendation on YouTube that I could follow along stretching with to help with learning techniques and structure better. Less so on workout and more focused on flexibility and building the foundations for more advanced moves. Thanks a lot

Anyone know the best place to get a silage tarp?

I’m like 4 hours north of Winnipeg and find myself needing a silage tarp. Like 50ft by 40ft, one of those UV treated ones with black. Wondering if anyone knows of a decent spot to pick one up/order one? Or is it best to just try and pester some of the farmers around here?

Training program for Manitoba hydro

Theres openings for training for Manitoba hydro and it sounds like a decent employer with good benefits and the job seems interesting and challenging. What kind of experience have any of you had with MB hydro, either programs or as an employer/trainer? How much are you expecting to clear after a year? 2-5 years? I currently make $39 an hour at my job but it’s got limited upward mobility and I’d like to actually have a skill/trade I can work in
