How to stop the turbo outlet from popping off?
I'm assuming from the amount of times I've taken it off, it cannot stay on anymore. I even tried reinforcing with a hose clamp, nothing. Is there something I could jerry rig?
Finished timing job... last issues to iron out
I've made one of two posts already, but today I started the car and there's no leaking from the timing cover this time. I'm hoping the stretch is normal for a new chain, if not them I'm still in trouble
Question: Can a weak turbo muffler elbow o-ring throw a code? I'm hearing louder noises when the turbo kicks in. I remember having a hard time getting the gasket back in, I ordered a replacement to see if that fixes things. I cleared and reseated the MAF but the code came back
Oil sprayed and smoke after timing job
I'm guessing it's the upper cover because of the oil at the bottom of it, but I'm not 100% sure. The lower cover only has oil on the right side, left completely dry. Bottom of lower cover doesn't seem like there is anything wrong. Will keep diagnosing
Rotated Intake camshaft too much... Am I doomed?
I cannot access the wrench point anymore. I assume I should rotate the crankshaft, but I only have the chain on with no tension or guides.
Stripped upper timing cover bolt
Any ideas on how to get this out?
If you did a DIY timing job, how long did it take you?
I have 4 weekdays + the weekend to work on my car. I bought all the necessary parts and have been studying tutorials (websites and videos) for the past month. I am very much a beginner when it comes to cars (Only worked on brakes + suspension at best), but I believe I am somewhat competent. For the ones that have done it, what was your expectation and what came out of it? What problems did you have along the way?
Vland Tail Lights - How to Disable the Sequential Turn?
I bought these tail lights for the Euro look, but I actually do not like the sequential sweep. It seems that it's there upon plug and play, is there a wire to remove? Or can I use VCDS?
