Dishwasher noise

Hi!

I have an issue with my dishwasher. It has always been relatively quiet but recently it started making this (see link) whirring noise during the wash cycle.

The noise changes in pitch during the wash. It does not seem to occurr when the machine is taking in water or draining.

I regularly run the machine clean programme and have checked for superficial blockages without luck.

I should mention I am renting my apartment and the dishwasher is fixed into the cabinets. I dont have access to go behind or under it. I have contacted the landlord but I am quite worried about anything that might suggest an existing or future leak. My floor would get destroyed and since I am not on the ground floor my neighbors could have issues as well.

Vibe at NNE

Hi everyone!

Can someone share the general vibe at NNE currently? I can see they opened a lot of positions but I still hear rumors of upcoming layoffs.

I am considering pursuing a role there but I am not sure the timing is right to jump into uncertainty. I can see all the new positions require 5 days onsite which would be a big adjustment from my current position where I have complete flexibility.

Investing and moving abroad

Hi,

I would like your counsel on matters of investing. For personal/sentimental reasons, I have always been on the fence regarding my stay in Denmark. Because of that, I have never seriously started investing my savings. Only ever used savings accounts.

I dont need the money anytime soon. But I need a solution resilient to changes in residency in case I move in a different EU country withing the next year. I could wait, but it already happened that my plans changed and I lost precious compounding time.

Any advice? I am open to any suggestion

Cost estimate

Hi everyone,

I am in a difficult, and from what I have heard unusual, position with regards to a rental contract and I need to prepare for the fallout. I would love your help/opinion on this.

Some time ago, I switched places with a previous tenant in a shared apartment (other people live here). The initial contract started in 2013 and people have been switching in and out since. The apartment is showing its age and has not been well maintained (due to this switching logic I imagine). I am now trying to calculate potential refurbishing costs to prepare. The apartment is around 110 sqm in the Capital region. I would expect the following:

- replacement of two wooden kitchen counters (cheap wood that got damaged by water and age)

- replacement of a cracked cookstove

- replacement/repair of some damaged baseboards

- replacement/repair of a couple of internal door frames (scuffed wood from hangers)

- sanding/repair of 3-strip oak parquet (around 80-85 sqm in surface). Potential need to replace a small area near window where a plank lifted due to some water damage (not sure it can be sanded).

- painting.

Just trying to get an overall idea of the estimates as the uncertainty is unbearable. No sugarcoating needed. Just need to figure out if I will need a loan or just a year with bread and water.

Thank you for your time!
