I saw some Portolas being sold for a good price on a local store and I currently use a electric scooter to go to work but it is time to say good bye to it cause the battery is failing but good scooters are too expensive so I may try an e-bike, my scooter is waterproof so I can ride it even under heavy rain so I want an e-bike that lets me do the same, can I ride it when it's raining or should I buy another one? Also in case something brakes where I can I find the parts online?

I've been thinking about buying one of those but the only store where I've found it new is being sold for around 1200 dollars (I live in DR) nut I've seen a lot of ppl selling theirs on Facebook Marketplace for around 500 so Idk if I should consider buying one of those or if I should try to find the way to buy it online without having to pay a lot of taxes cause I could end up having to pay around 1000.

I've had an Aovopro ES80 for almost 3 years that I mostly use to go to work but the battery has been failing since last year so I've been looking for a new scooter that isn't that expensive but most good scooters I've seen on FB marketplace are around 800 to over 1000 USD which is over 40k-70k pesos in my country and you can literally buy a bike with that money so I'm looking for something a little cheaper but the ones I've seen are chinese scooters or weak ones like the Niu KQi100p so I need some recomendations in case I find one that isn't that expensive but still good.
