Need recs for coffee station table, can't let my expensive machine rest on anything less than $2000

Now that I realized how embarrassing it is to own a breville barista express I'm terribly ashamed and upgrading to a low priced setup (~$3000).

I need something to accentuate my opulence. I musn't place myself in such a position again. Looking for hand crafted options only, preferably made by indigenous peoples of the Delaware valley.

Chamberlain Logic Board Failed, Considering Opener Replacement

Hey y'all, I'm considering a DIY repair but have a few questions.

Chamberlain 1/2 HP screw type opener, chain drive

Insulated 7' sectional door, 2 car width

My opener works with the wall button but the wireless remotes do not function. I followed the prescribed troubleshooting tips from Chamberlain's website and I might have a short on the board causing the troubleshooting steps to not work.

  1. This board is discontinued (purple learn button). Ordering a random board off eBay is not attractive to me for reasons, is there a way to add a third party radio or something to allow use of other remotes? Can I add an outdoor keypad with this opener?

  2. I'm not super happy with the options available to residential consumers for DIY replacement. It looks like my best option is a Chamberlain 3/4 HP unit (I don't care about the connected features and a camera, but oh well).

I currently have a 1/2 horsepower opener but it's an insulated door so I think it might be undersized. Is 3/4 HP the right motor size? I have the Wayne Dalton tear drop shape tube springs, not the "traditional" door springs. What do I need to do to check and make sure I'm sizing it appropriately? I replaced the springs about 2 years ago and it's balanced but heavy.

  1. I currently have a T bracket. Some reading here suggests this is better than the new click-connect brackets that come with new openers. If I do a motor replacement should I consider reusing this bar and going with a chain drive unit again?

Thanks!

8th Gen: Consider Removing Front Trim To Remove Debris

I was doing an oil change and I decided to clear some leaves I saw hanging around near the bottom of the radiator. You have to remove the trim piece behind the bumper (a lot of fasteners, be warned).

Holy smokes there was WAY more debris in there than I thought. Not a very good design that allows so much trapped dust, rocks, road debris, and leaves.

You might consider removing that trim piece from time to time to keep the radiator and horizontal supports from rusting.

I'm a terrible golfer. Garmin says my handicap (before I stopped keeping score) is +32.3. I've taken two lessons (which made me worse for 6 months) and could not resist the temptation to murder the golf ball every swing. Tops. Chunks. 35 yard drives. It has been terrible and my lousy game made me legit angry on the course.

Then about three months ago I took a short break and I began to accept that I'm just a shitty golfer. I stopped keeping score, focused on mindfulness on the course, and tried to play old man golf (cause my shoulders just can't take another chunk). Easy swings, live with whatever happens and reassess once I'm up by where it landed.

My god this is way more fun. And I'm playing better too. I might even take another lesson and see if I'm ready to start worsening my golf game again.
