Source for tiny washers?

Source for tiny washers?

I'm trying to find a source for these tiny washers. Internal diameter 3.5mm. Outer diameter 5mm.

The smallest M3.5 washers I can find have 6mm outer diameters which is unfortunately too large. Similarly the smallest washers I can find with a 5mm outer diameter have a 3mm internal diameter which again is too small.

The one I have is around 0.7mm thick but thickness isn't massively important for my needs.

I've tried searching the usual places for other terms, like washer, shims, discs, rings etc but have been unable to find a match. I've even tried converting the measurements to the nearest imperial measurements but again came up empty handed.

Anyone know where I might find a source for these? or perhaps other names for such an item that I might search for?

And this little piggy went..... straight to the charity shop - Percy Pig / 500 Pieces / Marks & Spencer

I was gifted this puzzle by my girlfriend's sister and absolutely hated it. I'm glad it was only 500 pieces as I might never have finished it. I've tackled "Impossible" puzzles before, like this Toy Story one or this one from dbrand but this Percy Pig puzzle was particularly challenging and took nearly a month to complete. I found no strategy for solving other than tedious trial and error of every piece in every location. Some people may enjoy this sort of challenge but I've learnt it's definitely not for me. Never again.

One thousand inter... mingling pieces - Woodland Patterns / 1000 Pieces / The Gifted Stationery Company

This puzzle takes the cake for the worst piece cut I've ever come across. The overall piece quality wasn't too bad. Nice thickness with no delamination, but the ribbon cut shapes that barely lock together made it a pain in the ass to assemble. Moving any completed sections was near on impossible without a rapid unscheduled disassembly event. Despite my complaints, I still enjoy the finished image.

Chomp! - Wasgij: Aquarium Antics! / 1000 Pieces / Jumbo

This is the second Wasgij puzzle I've completed following High Tide! The quality of the artwork is definitely a step forward in comparison but there was far fewer fun things to discover in the overall image. Overall an enjoyable build.

First Wasgij. Started small - Weed Killer! / 54 Pieces / Jumbo

Picked up this tiny Wasgij puzzle when buying some other puzzles. Thought I'd start small for my first Wasgij attempt although this may have been a little to easy.

Somebody spiked the punch! - Sangria / 100 Pieces / A24

Another fun mini-puzzle from A24, this one featuring the LSD spiked Sangria featured in the movie Climax. Building this puzzle was a slightly less psychedelic experience than watching the movie.

Tucker was right! Look at what they've taken from us! - Green Gal / 550 Pieces / M&M's World

Remember when Tucker Carlson went on "the news" to lament the de-sexifying of the green M&M? I should note, I'm English, I have no skin in the game when it comes to American Politics. I understand Tucker is a divisive figure, but no matter your opinion, I think you have to admit that it's incredibly hilarious that he delivered this rant with a straight face.

This puzzle is some M&M's World merch dating back to 2005 according to the copyright date, well before Mars made the M&M characters woke /s

The puzzle image made me laugh so much when I saw it. I found it going relatively cheap on Ebay, still brand-new and sealed. The previous owner dodged a bullet by not attempting this puzzle as it is quite possibly the worst building experience I've ever had. The sky section of the puzzle is riddled with false fits. I tried building bottom-to-top but switched to left-to-right. Every piece had to be tried in every location and it's still not right. Out of pure frustration, that last 5 - 10 pieces were just jammed in as there was no way I was reworking it for the umpteenth time.

A massive improvement - Birthday Heist On The Hillside / 538 Pieces / Yetch

I had quite a few complaints about the first puzzle in the Yetch 'Majority Edge Piece Puzzle' collection so knowing I had this one in the build queue made me a little apprehensive, however I'm pleased to say I enjoyed this one far more than the Summer Day On The River. The completed image itself is just far more entertaining. Everywhere you look there is something going on and I just love the whole idea of ants committing a daylight heist and stealing the mice's birthday presents. Being far less repetitive than the first puzzle in the series also made it far easier to solve..... which I guess could be considered good or bad, depending on what you enjoy about puzzling. Ultimately, I'm very pleased I gave this one a go after the previous disappointment.

Spring Break Forever Bitches! - Ski Mask / 125 Pieces / A24

A quick fun mini-puzzle from A24 featuring the pink ski mask used by the central characters in the movie Spring Breakers. I had more fun putting together the puzzle than I did watching the film.

Man on the edge - Summer Day On The River / 512 Pieces / Yetch

The 'Majority Edge Piece' nature coupled with the crazy piece shapes made his puzzle far more challenging that I originally anticipated. There's really no good way to organise the pieces. My solution was 'pieces with rocks' and 'pieces with no rocks' but half that time that didn't help me anyway. The quality of puzzle itself was OK, but not great. The colours felt quite muted and pale compared to the box image as if the printer was running low on red ink. The pieces have a pretty loose fit so picking up whole sections is practically impossible. I would definitely recommend building this puzzle on a smooth surface so you can easily slide around complete sections. Unlike later puzzles in this range, I don't think there's enough going on in the art. Mice having fun are few and far between making the vast majority of the build, water, rocks and foliage which made for a somewhat dull building experience.

Not a good time to lose one's head... - Charlie's Head / 135 Pieces / A24

One for the fans of Hereditary............. possibly the most gruesome puzzle I've ever completed. Thanks A24.

Animal beware! - Oops! Streetlife / 1000 Pieces / Gibsons

Picked this one up from a charity shop for a quick and easy build and it was everything I was hoping it would be. Breezed through it in a few hours but it was still fun discovering all of the calamity the artwork had to offer.

First Post! The post that hurts the most. - Exotic Travel Stamps / 1000 Pieces / Corner Piece Puzzles

This was a very quick but relatively fun build. The design effectively made the puzzle into 34 mini puzzles in one. I'm particularly fond of the 'Business Man Godzilla' Tokyo stamp.

What if this is the best version? - Lady Bird's Cast / 100 Pieces / A24

Like any other film nerd, I've become a big fan of the output of the studio A24. One thing A24 does really well is merch so I was delighted to discover a range of shaped mini-puzzles containing imagery from their films. This puzzle is the hot pink cast of the character Lady Bird from the Greta Gerwig film, Lady Bird.... great movie.

The puzzle is only 100 pieces so it was completed in around 10 minutes but I was surprised at the unusual variety of piece shapes. A fun pallet cleanser of a puzzle before moving onto the next 1000+ piecer.

We are the robots. Boop Boop Beep Boop. - Robot City / 1000 Pieces / dbrand

Without doubt one of the hardest puzzles I've ever completed, taking about three times longer than a regular 1000 piece puzzle at my usual built rate. A great sense of accomplishment on completion however.

My solving solution was to do the edges first, then the black bars between the three panes of the design. I then sorted the pieces into like shapes and whilst doing that, picked out any pieces that seems distinctive and could be easily matched to the reference image on the front of the box. I then worked frame by frame from left to right, starting on the left as it had the most organic and varied design so my hope was it would be the easiest to complete.

The puzzle itself is one of the best quality puzzles I think I've ever worked on. Zero dust, mounted to thick black cardboard and excellent piece fitment. I don't know who dbrand have making these for them but they did an excellent job, even down to the packaging.

Magic Puzzle Company - UK VAT/Customs Query

I really want to try some puzzles from the Magic Puzzle Company, but they currently only have distribution in the USA.

I'm based in the UK so I'm looking for another UK puzzler who has imported puzzles from them into the UK. Their website gives no indication whether or not the listed international shipping price includes pre-paid VAT/duties or not. I've emailed them asking for clarification but have not heard back.

Are there any other UK builders who have imported these puzzles into the UK and if so, did you buy directly from MPC and did you pay any VAT upon delivery?

Bombs away! - Avro Lancaster V.II / 1000 Pieces / Airfix

Picked this one up in a charity shop and after starting it I almost immediately began to regret my choice given that 70% of the puzzle is either sky of ground with little to no discernable standout features. To make matters worse, this puzzle is riddled with false fits throughout necessitating a lot of reworking throughout the build. Definitely not the most fun build but still pleased I managed to finish it and that there were no missing pieces.

PayPal+ UK Gold Level Checkout Friday Bonus Points.... Anyone got any?

I reached the PayPal+ Gold tier last month which means I'm eligible for PayPal+ 'Checkout Fridays' where you get 1000 bonus points for spending £10 or more in PayPal Checkout on the first Friday of every month.

I spent nearly £100 on 5th July but so far there's no sign of my bonus points?

Has anyone else reached the Gold or Black tier and see the bonus points awarded? If so, how long does the process take?

I found one article in the Help Centre (below) but it doesn't go into any details about when the points will be awarded

Disney Villains / 1000 Pieces / Clementoni

Bit of a pallet cleanser puzzle. Wanted something fun and quick and this one fit the bill perfectly. Grabbed this from a charity shop and sadly it was missing one piece but still love the design and end result.

[Mr Jones Watches] Pleasure at the fairground on the way

With the exception of G-Shocks, I believe I've owned more Mr Jones Watches... watches... than any other brand. Evidently there's something about cheap, fun pieces that appeal to me. This latest acquisition is called 'Enjoy The Ride'. A photo doesn't really do it justice. The ferris wheel is actually the seconds hand and completes a full rotation every minute. Time is read (with some difficulty) via the two small yellow hands at the centre. I've had my eye on this one for some time, but given the Sellita movement, it falls at the expensive end of the MJW catalogue. Fortunately for me, MJW recently did a start of Summer sale and slashed the price by 50%. Evidently I pulled out the credit card and the watch arrived on my doorstep shortly after. Once again, very pleased with this purchase.
