Unusual Way Fox-Gaze red + collated skates review.

Noticed that there is zero info on the Fox-Gaze synthetic-ruby skates, and that they were on sale for a justifiable price. So here is a review comparing them to all the other skates I have (and have tried previously) along with an overall ranking of all my skates, so anyone else who is curious about these skates can get an idea on what they're like without making a blind purchase.

Note: the Errennir Maya X POM skates feel identical to the dot skates, sans the dot skates digging into cloth pads with soft rubber backing, as all small dot skates do. When it comes to skates, I've found it's rather counter-intuitive, but more surface-area = less friction on soft rubber pads (some high density memory-foam pads have no such weakness, but some will also slow down with less surface area). On hard pads, more or less surface area doesn't seem to make any difference at all. My best guess is that the most important aspects of a skates behaviour are it's material, surface finish, and curvature. The size or surface area of the skate only affects certain soft pads, in which case more surface area = more consistent = more better. So if you have a choice between a small version, and a larger version of the same skate (assuming either will fit on the bottom of your mouse) I'd recommend to always go with the bigger option whenever possible.

Skates not in the picture include: Pulsar superglide V1/type S and V2/type C, Lamzu Maya X glass skates.

All the skates in the picture are skates I would genuinely recommend, and have enjoyed using (even if they're not entirely to my own personal taste). I would not recommend any glass skates over the skates in the picture.

ASUS has released Zuperfest (gorilla-glass) skates with their gold-plated Harpe 2 ace extreme. Since Zuperfest is a sulphur-annealed hardened glass, it has a completely different crystalline structure and hardness when compared to traditional silica-glass. Zuperfest skates may be just as terrible as other glass skates, or it may be the exception to the rule that all glass skates suck. Until long-term review drop we simply won't know unfortunately, but it's the last hope for glass skates.

Sapphire/ruby skates are good however. Haven't tried ceramic or Zircon skates however, but it would appear from what I've researched that they're also good. Albeit all ceramic and gemstone skates are turbo expensive, at least they're not turbo-expensive while also sucking horribly like glass skates do.

Note: If you're using a fingertip grip, I would be wary of the Errennir POM skates and the Fox-Gaze skates as they both have just enough static friction to make it difficult to get/keep the mouse moving smoothly and slowly during micro-adjustments without requiring more grip-tension than usual in order to fight/overcome said static friction. These skates are still perfectly usable with fingertip grip don't get me wrong, hell they may even be your fingertip endgame, however they will require some extra grip-tension in order to make slow and small micro-adjustments just so you're aware. This doesn't apply to claw grip as the palm/mcp of your hand acts as a lever which makes "breaking" the static friction automatic, meaning you don't need to use extra grip-tension to get the mouse moving, and most people probably won't even notice that these skates have a decent amount of static friction (other than saying these skates have insane "stopping power" since that's when their increased static friction will be most noticeable for most people).

The shape of the Fox-Gaze is basically identical to the shape of the Errennir POM dot skates, and they both share some glide characteristics:

No break-in

Higher static friction in comparison to their sliding friction.

The transition between static friction and sliding friction is extremely consistent and predictable, and also incredibly sharp (functioning as a sort of on-off switch regardless if you're getting going or stopping).

The static friction is low enough to control, but due to how sharp the step-up from sliding to static friction is, you will need to use some extra grip-tension to control these skates during slow small movements. These skates are still extremely smooth even when making those small and slow movements, but only when using some extra grip tension.

These two skates are totally different when it comes to speed, mouse-pad-texture feedback, and pressure-sensitivity.

The Fox-Gaze is easily the fastest skate I've ever used, whereas the Errennir POM skates are the same speed as the West-Lab Big-Oranges.

The Fox-Gaze is also pressure-sensitive just like the Artisan skates, they're about equal in terms of how pressure sensitive they are (Errennir POM skates aren't pressure sensitive at all). The friction increase is very consistent and not super extreme, so the mouse doesn't come to a screeching halt every time you press both main buttons on your mouse, but you can still intentionally vary and control your friction by pressing down on the mouse. Or just be thankful that when you're in a high-intensity aim-heavy situation, that the extra bit of friction will help steady your aim instead of stopping your mouse from moving entirely.

The Fox-Gaze has that same butter-smooth zero-texture glide that the Superglide V1 has. Whereas the Errennir POM skates have the same textured feedback that the Artisan skates have.

Overall The Fox-Gaze is an incredibly unique skate, and one of my favourites for claw-grip thanks to it's incredible speed, smooth glide, and nice static friction that allows me to double-click folders without accidentally drag-clicking them accidentally like with the Superglide V1.

As for the rest of the skates:

The Artisan skates have the same sliding friction as the Xraypad Jades, but with a textured glide.

The Xraypad Jades have a gradual increase in friction the slower you move them, followed by a decrease in friction right before they stop. The Artisan skates however are completely consistent with zero changes in their friction from start to stop.

You get to control the amount of friction you get through how much pressure you use with the Artisan skates, whereas the Xraypad Jades aren't pressure sensitive at all and give you that same friction profile every-time unless you stand on the mouse.

Note: the Artisan skates are slightly temperature sensitive, you will get a slight increase in static friction when these skates get warm, they're the only skate I've used that does this, it's not enough to throw off your aim or anything, but just barely enough to notice.

If you're a Superglide V1 (post break-in) refugee and want to have a skate that doesn't misbehave depending on humidity (and how much sweat you leave on your mousepad), the West-Lab Yellow skates have identical friction dynamics to the Superglide V1. I will note that the West-Lab Yellow has a deep-grooved textured surface box-fresh, and has a break-in period where the static friction slowly dissapears along with the isometric friction those grooves create, but once they break in they do become omni-directional in terms of friction. The West-Lab Yellow does have more mouse-pad feedback than the Superglide V1, but that's a small price to pay for having the same friction dynamics without any of the inconsistency of glass-skates. Same practically zero pressure sensitivity as Superglide V1 too. These are my second favourite skate of all time.

For those who haven't tried Superglide V1, the West-Lab Yellow skates (after breaking in) have effectively zero static friction, and ALL the sliding friction (with an incredibly smooth and linear transition between the two), while having little to no pressure sensitivity. Equal static friction to the Big-Oranges. The same textured feedback as the Artisan skates

If you're a Superglide V1 (pre break-in) refugee and want a skate which has zero break-in and just feels exactly like that 24/7, the West-Lab Big-Orange is exactly that (and my new favourite skate for obvious reasons). Equal texture feedback to the Xraypad Jades (slightly more texture than the glass skates).

For those who haven't tried Superglide V1, the West-Lab Big-Orange skates have a completely flat friction curve, no increase or decrease in static or sliding friction whatsoever. With incredibly low friction (not quite as insanely fast sliding friction at the Fox-Gaze, but not too far behind) overall, faster than the Xraypad Jades. They're closer to the Fox-Gaze than they are to the Xraypad Jades in terms of speed.

For those who are looking into the Superglide V2, don't, the Errennir POM skates are a direct upgrade. Don't buy the Superglide V2 skates they're a waste of money (especially with the Errennir POM skates on the market, especially since they also happen to be cheaper too).

For those who are looking into the Lamzu glass skates: no, they suck. Worn down black PTFE skates with sharp corners, from 2014, that are actively scraping on your mousepad, are better than these. These glass skates feel like chewing gum that got stuck on the underside of your shoe with how they randomly stick to your mousepad, completely stopping your mouse, for no apparent rhyme or reason. Just no.

Same goes for Superglides when they expire. The only reason Superglides stand out from the glass-skate crowd is because they're coated in a very thin layer of sapphire. Unfortunately, that thin layer of sapphire has been laid onto glass, which for some reason that a chemist would probably be able to understand and explain, makes the sapphire either rub off entirely after 2 years of use, or does something else magical that makes the sapphire stop working all the same regardless after 2 years of use.

Don't buy glass skates, ok maybe those ASUS Zuperfest ones cause they might just be actually good, but like that's it.

The West-Lab orange is just the same as the Big-Orange, except they dig into soft cloth pads and have more friction on those pads specifically. Just get the Big-Oranges unless they won't fit on the bottom of your mouse.

These are all great skates, and with how many skates there are I'm glad we're spoiled with choice.

At the very least, hopefully this helps some people discover whether the Fox-Gaze (which has basically flown completely under the radar) is something they'd be interested in or not. While also hopefully shedding some light onto a more in-depth comparison between all of these infamous but otherwise uncompared skates.

Errennir Omega, Hiper-Hydrosis accessible speed-pad.

Had the Errennir Omega for about a month now, it's tied with my Hone Control Ace in terms of handling the briny-coastal-pool that is the sweat from my hands.

In terms of hiper-hydrosis maintanence, the Errennir Omega is extremely easy to clean, however it does require regular cleaning. Cleaning is as simple as wiping it with a microfiber cloth thanks to the insanely hydrophobic surface, however this surface doesn't wick away and evaporate water like the Hone Control Ace does, so I have found that I do need to wipe away the literal pool of sweat I leave on this pad in-between rounds.

If you're raw-dogging the mousepad with no delta-hub carpio (or adjacent) wrist rest, you'll be pleased to know that the friction you'll have from your skin when you're boy-dry, doesn't change when you're wetter than the mariana trench. So if your body is incompatible with gaming-sleeves like mine is, you can comfortably raw-dog this mousepad like you would any other cloth pad with no inconsistencies in your aim regardless of how sweaty you are.

Personally, I have lazilly cut a delta-hub carpio STL model in half, and printed the remaining nugget-of-ergo out of ASA aero. I do find that, due to the amount of pressure I put on the nugget, that it will slow down when I plow it through a substatial puddle of sweat. Hence why I wipe the pad dry inbetween rounds as it takes about a round for that puddle to build up to a level where it resists getting plowed by my nugget.

All in all, although it's a lot easier to maintain than the Hone Control Ace (which needs a wet microfiber cloth wipe-down once a week), it is a lot more needy than the Hone Control Ace. So I rank them both as equal in terms of hiper-hydrosis accessibility.

In regards to the frictional properties of the pad itself:

Absolutely amazing speed-pad, practically an air-hockey table depending on what skates you pair with it. More static friction than sliding friction with a very sharp and consistent transition from not moving to moving, this transition is very controllable and the friction threshold to get the mouse moving is increadibly low (thankfully) so you can still easily make increadibly small and slow movements without the cursor jerking all over the place. Static friction is just enough to prevent you from moving your mouse by blowing on it, however once that mouse starts moving you can easily blow it off the pad like a comically large fan in any 3D platformer's ice-level.

The surface has a nice fine texture to it, and it doesn't (at least from what I can tell) destroy skates like a glass-pad does.

It does not feel like a cloth pad however, it feels like one of those frosted-glass screen-protectors for your smartphone. Really surreal having a cloth pad feel like that, but overall a really pleasant speed-pad that has become my main (turns out, an air-hockey table would genuinely be my mouse-pad endgame, I'm beyond saving).

The included POM skates are nice, they're nothing like the artisan POM skates and are more like the Pulsar Superglide V1/type S halfway through their break-in phase (but actually good, you get decent feedback through the skate, you have some nice static friction so you don't accidentally drag-click when trying to double-click a folder, and overall they're increadibly consistent regardless of temp or humidity with zero break-in). Super fast with a good bit of stopping power, I can see why they include these skates with this pad since they do pair well to give you all that speed without your mouse wobbling all over the place when you go to stop your crosshair after a flick. Personally I don't like stopping power and they're not my all-time favourite skate, but that's my personal preference speaking there. They're definitely a really good skate.

Super cool that people with hiper-hydrosis such as myself now have 2 great pads to choose from!

ROG Raikiri II Pro PC

My 2 week review after ROG sent me their Raikiri II Pro PC controller, everything in my review is my own oppinion although I recieved the controller for free. I won't go over price points and value/money in my review as: A, I'm too lazy to lookup prices. B, prices on all peripherals from mouse-skates to controllers are always going to be region dependent anyways. C, I'm certainly too lazy to create a geo-location accurate pricing sheet for my review.

Comparing to my original Steam Controller (abbrev - SC), and my Xbox Elite S1 controller (abbrev - XC). I also have hyper-hidrosis so my experience with texture and rubber-quality will be from the perspective of someone who's hands are wetter than a Karen who's spotted an underpaid cashier.

tldr: My new main controller for Chiv 2, linux users will have to use a windows VM (or the usual black-magic if you're a power-user-wizard, unlike me) for the best experience with the GearLink browser-software ASUS has shifted to for customization, absolutely loaded with nice-to-have QOL features, also plastered with ROG all over everything. Wish it had gyro-aim.

I primarily play Chivalry 2 on controller (despite the game's absolutely attrocious ghost-binds that are immutable, I primarily use steam-input for my rebinds as a result) as well as sims/arcade-sims like IL2, BeamNG drive, and Forza Horizon 5. I do also sometimes play FPS games such as The Finals on controller instead of M+K, depending on my mood and if I have any wrist-cramps.

Sticks: comes with 4 hot-swappable TMR modules, 2 grey standard stiffness modules, 2 white low stiffness modules. Also comes with 2 standard Xbox style sticks, 1 domed stick, 1 extra long concave stick.

Rubber is slightly harder than what's on the SC, and significantly harder than the soft-gummy rubber on the XC. Has a nice chalky texture, finer than the texture on the SC and much more defined. Really grips onto your skin regardless of your sweat, easily the best rubber coating I've ever used. If the Raikiri is a 10/10 in terms of rubber, the SC is an 8/10 and the XC is a 0/10.

Stick tension for the grey modules feels about the same as the SC (slightly less than the XC), tension on the white modules is nice and soft making them my personal favourite.

Stick clicks are the softest of the 3, making stick-click actions nice and consistent (compared to the XC where clicking the stick is almost guaranteed to cause unwanted stick movement). They also have the least pre-travel and most post-travel, with a softer tactile feedback instead of a sharp clicky feedback. Objectively they're the best stick clicks out of the 3 due to having the least pre-travel, but if they had the same sharp clicky feedback that the SC has the Raikiri would easily have 10/10 stick clicks. Better than the SC as I do find myself mistaking the pre-travel for a click sometimes on that controller, but I imagine the Raikiri stick clicks could be just a bit better. I'd rank the 3 controllers with the Raikiri at 9/10, SC in an 8/10, XC is a 0/10.

Tracking accuracy is immaculate (to be expected from TMR) and although I definitely don't have Jynxi-level controller aim, these are noticeably more consistent than the XC sticks. However I can't tell if that's due to the better rubber, softer springs, the TMR sensors themselves, or any combo of the three. Either way, never having to worry about stick drift is a massive relief in a world where the PS5 controller exists.

Triggers, bumpers, and rear buttons: has 2 triggers and 4 bumpers, with selectable trigger stops for the triggers, and 4 magnetically removable rear buttons like the XC.

Triggers have the same analog travel as the XC, unlike the SC which has half the analog travel. The trigger stops, unlike the XC (which just limits the maximum travel of the triggers), convert the triggers into crispy mouse-like micro-switches with very little pre-travel (right trigger on my model has about 1mm of pre-travel, and left trigger has about ~0.5mm pre-travel). Absolutely amazing feature, and since I primarily use them in micro-switch mode it's pretty obvious that I think these are the best triggers I've ever used.

The 4 bumpers are all on micro-switches with almost zero pre-travel, hell yeah.

The 4 magnetically removable rear buttons are also all on micro-switches (slightly more pre-travel than the bumpers), another hell yeah.

For obvious reasons, the Raikiri is a 10/10, and the other two are either a 5/10 or a 7/10 depending on your use case (SC has better switches, but less back buttons and analog trigger travel than the XC).

Dpad and main buttons:

Microswitches for both the Dpad and main buttons, a third hell yeah.

Humongously better Dpad than what's on the XC, a slight upgrade to what's on the PowerA wireless switch controller. SC doesn't have a Dpad (just a Dpad-adjacent touch-pad) so no comparison there. I only use the Dpad for side-scroling platformers like RainWorld, so I probably don't have the same tastes and opinions as a Smash-Bros pro, but with practice this is the first Dpad I could actually speed-pole-climb with (I'm still more familiar and comfortable with keyboard, however I could see that changing if I put in some time getting used to using a Dpad instead).

Menu, and function buttons:

These all feel like those non-clicky tactile buttons you'd find under the scroll wheel of your mouse, I mean you don't really need anything fancy for these buttons and I don't really have any strong oppinions about these buttons, but at least they don't feel cheep.

Charging base: Included.

Charging base uses 3 pogo-pins, and some rubber bumpers to help you with allignment. Controller doesn't always feel like it's slotted in correctly however when docking it, and since it takes a few secs for the screen to show you the charge-level, I did find myself re-docking the controller 5 pico-seconds before the screen told me it was indeed docked correctly (I blame YT shorts for ruining my attention span). At least it doesn't use Alkaline batteries.

Battery-life:

Battery life is awesome, I've only used it in 8K polling mode however even after not charging charging it, it still only went down to 60% after 2 days of my regular use. I did get it from 100% to 80% when I had a 7 hour chiv 2 marathon however, which is probably the most accurate metric for an estimated battery-life measurement I've gotten so far.

QOL features are absolutely everywhere:

The controller has an internal storage bay for the dongle, plus the charging base is a USB-C to USB-A hub for you to connect your dongle to (so the controller only ever takes up a single USB port).

The rear buttons also have magnetic covers so you don't have the displeasure of raw-dogging the exposed buttons when you remove the back-buttons (unlike the XC).

The front cover is magnetic, so pulling it off to swap sticks and modules is easy and tool-less.

Comes with a stick-module puller (the metal gamer-tagged mini-salad-tongs) so you can hot-swap the modules.

Built-in menu-screen allows you to recalibrate the sticks, triggers, rebind most buttons to other X-input switches, change which flavour of unicorn-vomit you would like, customize the vibration settings, swap between the 5 on-board profiles, factory reset (obviously), change the screen's background GIF, and tweak your turbo-settings (for the few games that applies to, given macros aren't against the TOS of course).

Case can stow absolutely all of the accessories (the charge-base lift-kit legs are a little loose up in the mesh pocket however).

Case has a silicone plug for you to plug in your charging base, so you can charge your controller while it's inside of the case (for the few but precious times that's actually usefull).

USB-A to C cable, in the year 2026 I'm just glad it isn't an optional accessory.

GearLink connectivity:

I did have to use a windows VM to use GearLink (it shoes up all find on Linux, however it can't sync the profiles, either I'm missing some hidraw permissions setup to get it working, or it isn't quite ready for Linux yet).

You can upload your own GIF to use as your background image.

Windows users can install a companion service to make the screen display the date+time, HWID info, etc.... Linux users (as per usual) will have to consult the dark mages to create a companion service whenever they feel like doing it (or procrastinate on doing it themselves until said dark mage does it anyways). Though I don't see much use in Noctalia changing my Raikiri display and unicorn-vomit to match my wallpaper for any reason other than "a e s t h e t i c".

You can rebind the rear buttons and additional bumpers to mouse buttons (tried binding them to keyboard buttons, however I think my VM uses the wrong keycodes cause those binds only worked in the VM, and I'm too lazy to figure out why when the mouse button rebinds work just fine).

Plus a ton of more advanced unicorn-vomit settings, polling rate settings (8k by default), low-power-mode settings, and all the other regular features you'd expect from GearLink.

Gimmicks:

Bluetooth.

Lift-kit for the charge-base, I mean I still use it cause why not, but defo a gimmick.

Flaws:

Linux compatibility could 100% be better, the ROG Harpe 2 Ace has seamless GearLink connectivity with Linux, would be nice if this controller had that same level of compatibility (and certainly hope it gains that compatibility in the future).

Wish it had gyro-aim (the SC has shown me a way of using a controller and I can never go back to ignorant non-gyro ways).

Labelling on the rear buttons and additional bumpers is a little hard to read, only relavent when rebinding your buttons in moody lighting, but could be better.

Screen is liable to get covered in fingerprints due to how close it is to the start, menu, and X buttons.

Bongo-cat is not one of the default background GIFs included on the internal memory (nor does there appear to be a feature that would make said bongo-cat GIF only bongo when you press a button on the controller). Which some may consider to be a severe oversight by ASUS.

My personal use case: Absolutely love it, overall the best controller I have.

Having all 6 attacks (both standard and alt) bound to the 4 bumpers and 2 triggers makes feints, accels, drags, counter-feints, and alt-counters, feel absolutely amazing and intuitive in Chiv 2. Add in the 4 rear buttons, as well as stick clicks that are actually usable, and I can immediately play better than I ever have on mouse + keyboard (or my other 2 controllers). Can't imagine using anything else to play Chiv 2 from now on.

Although I still use the Steam Controller in IL2 since you can be cheeky with the touch pads to keep the stick in the last position you left it, giving you a crude and lazy way to trim out planes that otherwise don't have trim settings. As well as any casual games where the Steam Controller gyro-aim is better than stick aim, but you wouldn't get any benefit from using a mouse with lower latency. In any other game the Raikiri has now officially replaced my Steam Controller and has easily become my go-to controller.

Especially thanks to that hard rubber coating on the sticks, first time my thumbs which have been cursed with hiper-hydrosis didn't slip off the sticks. Although the Steam Controller stick has a decent coating, I still slipped and slid around it a little. ASUS nailied the rubber on the sticks, that texture and compound is the best I've ever used ngl.

ROG Hone Control Ace, Hyper-Hidrosis endgame?

Had the Hone Control Ace for about a week now, as someone who has really bad Hyper-Hidrosis this pad is blowing my mind with how it's holding up to my turbo-snot-acid-sweat (to put my hyper-hidrosis into perspective: if I watch a rock-climbing championship, my hands will literally drip sweat as if I had just washed my hands without drying, and my sweat definitely isn't normal as the residue it leaves behind has a snot/earwax consistency that sticks to everything and refuses to come off unless I scrub hard with soap and hot water).

Note for cleaning this pad:
Asus doesn't recommend using anything other than distilled water to clean the pad, since it does use a coating, and although the coating is applied to the threads themselves before they're woven together, different chemicals could definitely damage/remove that sweat-repelling coating.

Pic 1: Post cleaning with a damp microfiber cloth.

Pic 2: 4 days of gaming, taken immediately after a 5 hour gaming session in a hot and humid room that got my hands mildy pruny from how much I was sweating.

Pic 3: taken immediately after pic 2, I gently rested my wrist (palm raised at a 45 degree angle) on my old pad for 5 seconds, the pad did not have a dark patch below the centre logo before I took the pic.

This pad is the first pad I've ever used, that's actually backed up its sweat-repellent claims during irl use. After 5 days of maining the pad, I finally left behind a faint dark-spot where my wrist usually rests (half the size of the patch on the Equate Plus V2, and no dark outer ring) comprised of my sweats trademark sticky-waxy impossible-to-remove residue.

Unlike my Equate Plus V2 however, 5 mins wiping with a damp microfiber cloth fully removed it from the Hone Control Ace. To put that in perspective, it takes a 20 minute hard-scrub with a sponge and warm soapy water to remove the same residue from my Equate Plus V2.

Not to bash the Equate Plus V2, until now it's the only pad I COULD clean, all other pads (Steelseries QCK prism, Steelseries QCK L, Razer firefly Hard-pad) have gained a permanent goober-spot that won't come out no matter what (actually ended up damaging the firefly Hard-pad removing my residue from it, so although I did technically remove it, the damage was permanent). The sweat-resistant high-humidity tailored silver-wire stitching in the Equate Plus V2 was an absolute game-changer, finally giving me a pad that could actually be cleaned (and saving my Gear 5 Luffy desk-mat from my gamer-goobers).

However the Hone Control Ace is simply built different, I never imagined a mousepad that could survive my sweat, let alone clean so easily, would ever exist, and if it ever did that it'd be made by a huge name-brand. Being able to survive so many hours of Hyper-Hidrosis gaming without showing a single sign, and then my goober-slime residue only needing 5 mins of wiping with a damp microfiber cloth (no soap, no hot water) is simply unreal.

Plus it's also a direct upgrade from my Equate V2 Plus in every aspect of its glide too.

Less static and dynamic friction (can make very slow movements with light pressure without making the mouse "lurch" across the pad).

Significantly more stopping power.

Initial/startup friction feels extremely balanced and consistent.

Dot skates don't sink in and get "stuck" in the base.

The base is much softer and more comfortable for my wrist.

Surface finish is significantly less abrasive, and the XY friction is so well balanced it took a few hours for my aim to adapt to a pad where I don't have to compensate for XY friction differences.

The bottom sticks down nicely, pad doesn't skid around at all (even though I use it over-top of my desk-mat).

Really impressed ASUS managed to make a soft-pad that's compatible with dot-skates. The Polyurethane sheet spreads out the pressure amazingly well and refuses to conform to a sharp radius, meaning that it makes a wide dimple around anything poking into the surface, instead of trying to perfectly conform to the skates and allowing them to become embedded in the pad.

I only have the Xraypad Jade dots, and and TBTL/Errennir POM dot skates (which granted, aren't the "sharpest" skates around) and the difference between the Equate Plus V2 and the Hone Control Ace are night and day, my dot skates don't get stuck in this pad at all, whereas they do get stuck in my old pad and I have to lift up the mouse slightly if I want to make any low-tension micro-adjustments (and using 4 dots feels like stabbing the pad, but with the Hone Control Ace I haven't had any issues using only 4 dots, sans shoving the rear of the mouse into the pad with your palm which will always require an additional "out-rigger" skate to prevent unless you're on a hard-pad).

Really cool to see a soft-pad that's still compatible with dot skates, all the comfort and stopping-power of a soft pad, without the drawbacks of limited skate compatibility (hell, it's got better compatibility than my medium firmness pad).

A soft control pad that makes my medium balance-pad feel muddy in comparison, has better skate compatibility, and is both faster and more controlled simultaneously, is extremely impressive.

Add in how it handles my Hyper-Hidrosis like it's nothing, and I genuinely can't think of a single criticism for this pad.

Plus it also looks really cool with the stitchless edging, the slightly mustard neon yellow will complement most setups, and do like the aesthetic of the minimalist logo and details ngl.

If the local retail price is right, hell even if it's overpriced, this is geared to be the Hyper-Hidrosis endgame pad. Even if I do get treatment for my condition, it'll still probably be my endgame (or close to it) regardless given its skate compatibility and extremely balanced + consistent friction dynamics.
