Why does Mother Nature hate Illinois so much this summer?

Two back to back thunderstorms is crazy in the same area. On top of the fact that we’re getting pounded down south with Naders.

And last night we drove through Chicago and Lake Shore Drive and was already flooded and traffic lights were down again. God dammit.

Thanks u/IcedCoffey and u/Desperate-Pin-9556 for tempting me.

I did it. I finally purchased my grail. Was the price worth it? Eh..maybe. I’m so excited when this finally gets delivered, but really wanna say thanks to the two users I mentioned in the title.

Daniel Suarez (currently) has a knack for even year wins.

I find it a coincidence that Daniel Suarez has three career wins, but all three came on the past even years, 2022, 2024, and 2026.

His wins are as followed:

2022 Toyota/Save Mart 350
Laps Led: 47. (Race High)

2024 Ambetter Health 400
Laps Led: 9.

2026 Coca-Cola 600
Laps Led: 17.

Is it just me finding the weird correlation here?

Diecast of the Day!

This here is Bubba Wallace’s Brickyard 400 raced win ELITE diecast. DIN #200 out of 377. I HAD to get this one as soon as it was in stock at Diecast Depot, because it holds a very sentimental value to me.

2025’s Brickyard 400 was special to me because it was my first actual oval race and first crown jewel race. Waiting through a rain delay, Bubba’s car was out front in front of Larson. When the restart ensued, I knew Bubba wouldn’t let this victory get away from him. I then watched the him make history by becoming the first black winner at Indianapolis, the first black driver to win a crown jewel race in NASCAR.

The photos after the DIN shot are from Indy on that day. I also got my only photo of KB in here also. Enjoy!

Diecast of the Day!

This here is Chase Elliott’s NAPA/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta raced win diecast from Atlanta Motor Speedway/EchoPark Speedway! This here is DIN #219. I thought the DIN was a unique combination but as long as it has a 9 in it it’s fine.

I picked this up at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame in Dawsonville, which is also connected to Dawsonville City Hall for some reason? We went here after I scored another grail (Previous diecast post.) at Diecast Depot down the road in Gainesville. All of this done in one day escape during a trip to Gatlinburg that I was currently on also.

This one’s sentimental to me because it was the first race that me and my had watched in a long while. I picked and rooted for Elliott because he scored P3 at Mexico City the previous weekend and wanted to see him win in his hometown. And yet, Elliott delivered.

Editors Note: They had a BUNCH of his 2022 wins and clean variants in ELITE and ARC on their shelf behind the register counter, and where the trophy is. I think it was because that was Chase’s best run (so far.) to get a second championship.

(Third photo was taken inside the rental, as we had just left the HoF just 10 minutes ago. The fourth photo is inside where we saw an actual from on loan from Hendrick. The fifth picture is the race that Chase won that trophy.)

Anyone know where I can inquire for a custom?

I have a CBell 2025 DeWalt ELITE with generic paint scratches (Thanks Lionel.) and I was wondering if I could send it off to someone to turn into a custom.

My questions are does if I do inquire for a custom, does it need to be a Bell custom diecast or can it just be turned into another drivers car?

My ideas for a custom;

  1. Christopher Bell throwback from 2025
  2. Ty Gibbs Bristol win from 2026
  3. Tyler Reddick homestead win from 2024

I’m asking because I want to display that piece with pride and don’t wanna see the bad quality Lionel has sometimes.

I don’t need it..I DEFINITELY don’t need it..

Is it just me or has RCR been actually cooking on their 2026 schemes, across the 3, 8, and now 33, I really hope these get made in elite across the board but probably won’t happen.

(Edit: I NEEEEEEED ITTTTT!!!)

First diecast post in the subreddit!

Heya guys. Just wanted to show off one of my personal hard to find grails.

This is Kevin Harvick’s BOOSCH Light ELITE. Ran at the 2022 Martinsville playoff race. Finished 16th.

I managed to get this at Diecast Depot of all places for $170 while on a trip to Gatlinburg. DIN 137 out of 310. I know this one is “hard to find”, but anybody know HOW hard it is to find an ELITE of this one?

(Mods if you see this, I’m kinda new here and just trying to ask how rare it is, not how much it’ll cost now.)

How hard it is to come by these ELITEs?

I’m just usually scrolling through eBay and diecast retailers online, when I realized that some of the diecast I was looking for previously are just like, hard to find in general. Even the ARCs are hard to come by in these cases.

First off;
AJ Allmendinger’s ‘23 Roval win in ELITE. I feel like a year ago maybe I found multiple on Circle B, Diecast Depot, and across eBay also. Now? It’s just completely hard to find. Hell, I feel lucky when I come across an ARC of the Roval win on eBay.

Secondly;
Alex Bowman’s ‘24 Chicago Street Course win in ELITE. I look everywhere now and I barely come across the ARCs and ELITE. Used to be on Diecast Depot, Circle B, Spoiler Diecast, and now just poof.

Finally;
William Byron’s AXALTA primary from 2025. This one is like an actual gem to come across. Good thing the 1:64s are more plentiful, but the 1:24s as a whole are extremely hard to find imo.
