Actual originals

For those that think it’s a shame to have pens that never get used - these do get used. Refurbished and ready to write. I do use these. Several more are not pictured. It’s only the “Originals of their time” I don’t write with - well, along with an m1000 in Damascus Steel and titanium by Grayson Tighe. That one is heavy at 57 grams and is bulkier than a standard m1000, so it’s not super practical for me. It’s not an “Original” but it is about 25 years old. There were around 20 made before Pelikan issued a cease and desist order. My hand size is a 400/600 max so it’s a bit too big. Actually, there are a few more that don’t get used but those will have to wait for another time.

Originals of their time - Lapis 1935 box and contents

As per request, this is the original box and contents of the Pelikan 1935 Lapis.
I have original material for all other “Originals” as well, if anyone needs to see them for reference. All except for the Toledo 1931.

“Originals of their time”

I think this is all of them in the series except for the Toledo 1931 version, the one that got away. I got all of these when they were originally released and am the original owner. These were released between 1997-2003. I thought they were just too nice to actually use, none of them have ever been filled. I may have dipped one 20 years ago but that’s it. I enjoy just looking at these, they really are elegant, classic pens. You really have to hold these in your hand to appreciate them. Like many other things, a photo isn’t sufficient to convey their quality and feel. I have all the original packaging and keep the pens in their original boxes. I know some people consider this a complete waste and that these were intended to be used. I disagree. Satisfaction is the intended function, whatever the manifestation of that satisfaction may be. Each to his own, etc. Pelikan is a great brand and I do use Pelikan’s, just not these.
These are not for sale.
