2025 2.7 whine/howl
Hey guys, first post here. As the title says, I have a 2025 F150 XLT with the 2.7 Ecoboost and it's 4x4. It has 10k miles on it and has already had the rear differential rebuilt by a dealer in Sarasota. It originally had a vibration at 40 to 50 mph that started at around 2,000 miles and was accompanied by a howl on deceleration. The vibration and howl went away at higher speeds and came back around 75 mph. The dealer rebuilt the rear differential and the vibration went away, but the howl remained. 1,000 miles later the vibration returned and I took it back to the dealer in Sarasota. They rebuilt the entire rear axle, new differential carrier, ring and pinion, and axle bearings. Howl and vibration were still present afterwards and they told me itis just a normal characteristic of the truck. Drove it for another 600 miles before I got tired of it and took it to another dealer in Tampa, where they rotated and balanced the tires and ended up replacing one because it couldnt be road force balanced because it was so bad. Got the truck back yesterday and the vibration is completely gone at all speeds, however there is still a slight howling noise with a slight growling feeling coming from the steering wheel between 45 and 50 mph. Does anyone else's 2.7 4x4 do this??? It can't be normal, right?
