Writing a fic set in 1977 involving a WOC, what’s the best way to approach potential racism?

Hi! I’m so sorry if this is offensive but I’m just looking for some advice on how to tackle this. I‘m white and racism is NOT a focus or central point in my story, but I also feel like I shouldn’t ignore it.

I‘m not sure how I should approach it which is why I am posting this. I was thinking of mostly avoiding it since writing racism from a white perspective is… not great? Not sure what word I am looking for but you get the gist.

In comes the other issue which is the fact that I don’t want to act like it never happened, especially since my story takes place in Pennsylvania.

I’m really not sure how I should go about tackling this so any advice is welcome! I apologize again if this is insensitive or rude, thank you!

Lenvo tablet won’t let me use it while it’s charging?

I can try to figure out the version when it’s more charged but my Lenovo won’t allow me to do anything when it’s plugged into a charger. It turns on and displays the battery charging icon but it won’t let me actually OPEN the tablet and go into apps or anything. Is this just the version I have?

I just watched “Bones and All” and I adored how most of the movie took place in a car/during a road trip. I also really loved how scenic it was and the focus on the outdoor backdrop.

I’d love to find more emotional (happy ending not required) films that focus on that!
