Anything you guys are doing to slim down your waists?

I’m 5’7 and 140 pounds. My measurements are 32-30-38. I know I could stand to lose another 10-15 pounds, but even when I’ve been 115 pounds my waist was only 28 inches. Is there something I can do in the gym to carve out my waist more, or do I accept that an hourglass figure isn’t in the cards for me? Curious to hear any success stories. I’m Latina but unfortunately inherited the Central American frog build. Current fitness routine is daily pilates and solidcore 3x weekly.

Is this appropriate for a semi-formal wedding?

Florida wedding adjacent to the beach in September. Semi-formal dress code, only other info from the bride was “midi or maxi dresses”. Thank you!

Bad first experience?

I have had a very weak core, poor posture, low stamina my entire life and have been finally making positive changes to get fit this year. I’m starting to see real changes after a few months of consistently doing reformer pilates, lifting lightly, and yoga, although my body is still definitely a work in progress.

I wanted to check out solidcore but I honestly had to what I felt like was a poor experience at my first class this morning and was looking for some perspective.

My weak core means I can’t sustain a plank on toes. I tried to hold on toes for as long as I could, and then of course modified to my knees. The instructor repeated several times over the mic that everyone needed to be on toes, and she literally stood over me repeating that I was supposed to be on toes until I got up. At several points she also kicked my carriage out further than I felt was sustainable, which ended up being painful.

I am completely okay with hands on corrections, but I feel like this instructor went too far and was too pushy…. Am I justified, or am I just weak and this is the typical solidcore experience?
