AI Data Centers in New Mexico (including Project Jupiter & more humongous sites beyond the planning stages)
*Created by Youth United for Climate Crisis Action* Click on the Instagram link for much more info, maps and make sure to follow on Instagram.
"Currently New Mexico is ranked in the top ten of biggest AI Data Center power consumers by state, which includes both planned and operational data centers.
The part that is staggering about this is that there is significantly fewer facilities listed for NM than any other of the top listed states. That means the proposed mega facilities are set to have some of the highest power draws across the country and globe, according to ServerCountry.org.
The most notable are:
🏭New Era Lea planned in Lea County: 7,000MW
🏭Project Jupiter under construction in Dona Ana County: 2,500MW
🏭Zenith Volts planned in Chaves County: 1,250MW
🏭Meta AI Campus in Los Lunas: 483MW currently used and an additional 246MW expansion being built
Moratoriums include:
✅ Socorro County: 12 months
✅ Santa Fe County: 18 months
✅ Sierra County: 18 months
We're keeping up with them as they pop up on our radar, but as they try to push forward, we need to be proactive about keeping these energy vampires out!
Demand data center bans and moratoriums statewide! What did we miss? Let us know in the comments"

Mobile NM Veterans Services custom van reaches all 33 New Mexico counties
I AM SHARING THIS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES: THIS IS STATEWIDE. More info is available on their website (below) PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT! "A custom-built veterans outreach vehicle has traveled to all 33 counties in New Mexico during the last eight months and has brought services to more than 400 veterans and family members", the New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services said.
“Reaching every county in New Mexico reflects our commitment to meeting veterans where they are, especially in rural and tribal communities,” said NMDVS Cabinet Secretary Jamison Herrera. “By bringing access to services directly into these communities, we are making it easier for veterans and their families to get the assistance they need to access the benefits they earned”
The Mobile Outreach Vehicle gives veterans and eligible family members greater access to accredited veterans service officers, particularly in small towns and tribal communities where in-person assistance can require traveling long distances, the Department of Veterans’ Services said.
Equipped with onboard power, satellite internet and a wheelchair lift, the vehicle provides a private, accessible space for one-on-one assistance in communities across the state.
Veterans and eligible family members can receive help with VA disability compensation claims, health care enrollment, pensions, survivor benefits, military records requests, state veterans’ benefits, property tax certificates, Lifetime Parks Passes and other benefits-related services, the Veterans’ Services Department said.
Upcoming Mobile Outreach Vehicle stops are available on the NMDVS website’s news and events page: https://www.dvs.nm.gov/news-and-events/

Trump and every single WH official lied repeatedly about the Reflecting Pool. It would be a shame if this went viral now.
Every single Trump official and Trump himself fabricated a huge LIE about vandalism at the Reflecting Pool and eagerly arrested 7 INNOCENT people. "100% sure there were yards and yards of knife cuts. Where are the box cutters? Didn't trump brag that it was destruction proof? THEY FOUND NO EVIDENCE and it was proven it was the fault of the incompetent millionaire's company that caused the paint to peel off. As Asran Parnas says, it was all BS. What should be done to the inept owner of the pool company who was paid MILLIONS, which should be used to pay for real professionals to properly restore the reflection pool? What should be done to all these liers, besides obvious major lawsuits being written right now.... show us these pics too...SHARE SHARE SHARE.

At Tuesday's Doña Ana County Commission meeting, supporters and opponents of Project Jupiter shared their views on the data center during public comment. A shortened commenting period led to some physical altercations and arrests before project officials could give their updates. There are ongoing debates over transparency in Doña Ana County over the Project Jupiter saga.
The Foundation for Open Government filed a lawsuit June 22 against the county that originated with a complaint of an Open Meetings Act violation — county commissioners entered into a closed meeting on Sept. 19, 2025, and subsequently agreed to pledge $165 billion worth of industrial revenue bonds for Project Jupiter. At Tuesday’s meeting, commissioners limited public comments to 30 people, first come first served, and with two minutes each. (FYI: Rep Stansbury also posted her comments and a video).

New Mexicans' voices must be heard! What happened last night in the Doña Ana County Commission hearing over Project Jupiter is unacceptable.
New Mexicans have been clear: they don’t want their public lands, waters, and taxpayer dollars going to unchecked and unregulated data centers.

You’re helping guide news coverage in southern New Mexico.
Hundreds of residents told Organ Mountain News what information they need, which communities are overlooked and how local journalism should improve.
