Bleaching my eyebrows

When I say I have dark, black eyebrows, I mean I have thick, black eyebrows. They make my face look so masculine and I’m getting tired of it. I just want to look softer.

I have the Jolene bleach - realistically, with how thick and dark my hair is, would it actually look worse you think bleached? I’m scared it’ll just look like I have orange brows 😭

EDIT: I will learn to love my features a lil more LMAO

Fiance constantly complaining that we can’t afford a home

Hi all, my fiance and I are just starting to get into our careers. My fiance has been working as an engineer for a year, making $140k before taxes. I just graduated from my rad tech program and will start working in September, making $56/hr (I’m so excited to start making money lol)

The area we live in is expensive. Every home in the area is between $800k (for the shitty homes) to up to $3 million. We’re currently renting a condo and it’s expensive, but it’s good enough for me for now

Personally, I am happy where we are right now. We’re barely getting started and I feel like we have time to settle down and buy a home. I’m not in a rush.

My fiance on the other hand complains constantly about the unaffordability of the market. Don’t get me wrong, I get it. I get it so much. I would love to but a home here, but I know it’s not going to be obtainable to us for a long time. I’m willing to relocate somewhere cheaper, but he is unwilling to do the commute (the altamont is trash).

But it’s too much sometimes. I grew up in a family where we were very poor. I saw my parents struggle financially - we almost lost our home at one point. You learn to be grateful for what you have. My fiance grew up very middle class. I just wish he could be grateful for where we are, especially at our ages. I think because his brother bought a home a few years ago (albeit in a MUCH cheaper area) he’s starting to get anxious but I just don’t see the reason to be. I’m grateful to have a roof over my head and food. He gets upset when I tell him we have a lot to be grateful for and to just…take one day at a time and we will buy a home eventually.

Idk. It’s not about being right or wrong in this situation, but I do get very frustrated hearing it all the time. It makes me start to wonder if I’m behind too. He would make remarks about how he wishes I finished school earlier (I just graduated at 26). I’m just a little bit frustrated

Was that a weird comment to make?

My fiancé has two brothers, one of which has a fiance. I try to make an effort with her since we’ll be family. For the most part I would say she’s a nice person, but sometimes she makes comments that leave me being like what do you mean by that?

We had finished working out and were just talking by our cars. I asked her if she ever gets emotional thinking that she’ll grow old her her fiancé because I do! The conversation kind of went something like this:

‘Not really. We’ve been together for so long that it’s different for us. Youve been with yours, what, 5 years?’

‘6 years :)’

‘See you guys haven’t been dating that long. This year will be 11 years with mine. And you guys just got engaged, we’re planning the wedding right now. It’s just a different type of bond you get when you’re planning something so big and important. We’re even closer than before.’

These type of weird, competitive type comments have been made for so long. I just get so confused why she thinks being her her guy longer makes her relationship better. She once made a comment about how skinny I was and that her guy likes that she has curves. Like hello 😭

She then went on to complain about one of her ex friends who finished school but her husband didn’t and that she and her guy did everything the right way: finished school, bought a house, and are now getting married.

It’s not a competition, but I think my fiancé and I have been through something so much more difficult that most people don’t even go through until they’re in their 50s+! 4 months into dating, my dad died. Somehow we maneuvered that.

This is such a non issue but I don’t know why these comments get on my nerves. I just feel like I’m being viewed as a little kid who’s in a little kid relationship even though we’re only a year apart. I make an effort because I care enough to be family, but I’m at the point where I’m starting to wonder if she even really likes me

What can I do to prolong my cars life?

I drive a 2006 Honda accord coupe with 230,000+ miles on it. I change my oil regularly, need to do my transmission fluid soon. I’ve replaced quite a few parts on it because it had been sitting in someone’s driveway for a few years, but it’s a good car.

It’s never left me stranded ANYWHERE, even when I wasn’t taking the best care of it…..(drove her once with 0 coolant to Santa Cruz…. Idk how it didn’t die on me 🧍🏻‍♀️).

I finally graduated from my rad tech program and will be working soon. I just want this car to last me a few more years. Is regular maintenance the best I can do? I know cars can be unpredictable, but I love this car and it was the last thing my dad got me before he passed. I just want to hold onto it a little longer 🥲

Goodbye my sweet baby

13 years of love from this baby. He watched me graduate middle school, high school, and finally watched me graduation from my rad tech program 3 days ago. It’s like he was waiting until then :’(

He suddenly couldn’t use his legs yesterday morning. Couldn’t control his bladder, was shaking like a leaf. We made the difficult decision to put him down. But we were with him. I find peace in that

When is it time to say goodbye?

Hi everyone,

We’ve had our doggy Eddy now for 13-14 years. He is beginning to show signs of dementia - endless pacing, staring at walls, no longer acknowledging me. He sleeps for hours on end.

He’s always struggled with skin conditions and has had several surgeries over the years. This last vet visit they said some regions on his legs were infected and surgery was needed. Vet said it’s not a guarantee it’ll work, since the area is used a lot (basically stitches may not hold).

He’s been through a lot. I’m worried about his quality of life. I can’t tell if he’s happy anymore. Is it time to start reaching out about euthanasia? What if he’s suffering and he can’t tell me? I don’t want to think about him suffering in silence. It’s so hard to let go - my dad was still alive when we got him. Now it feels like I’m saying bye to my dad all over again

Update: he woke up this morning with no feeling in his back legs. We had to put him down :( my poor baby was in pain. I’m so sad for him. He was such an amazing, sweet, patient, and loyal boy. I’m devastated
