Court Etiquette Question

Is there a general understanding of who gets a court when the following happens?

Let’s say I get to a park that has a few courts with only one open. I take it and start warming up while waiting on my partner to arrive. They are 5 minutes away from arriving.

Another group shows up and says since my group isn’t here, I shouldn’t be holding a court when there are other people here ready to play.

Should I give up the court or hold it? Is this a matter of tennis etiquette or a non-issue?

I know it can change at any given moment, but this is exactly what we need.

Adult Rec Tennis League

Hi all,

Just wanted to share for anyone interested. I have been playing in this TennisMinneapolis league for a season and have really enjoyed it.

Divisions are broken up based on skill and it’s generally around $30-$40 to join. There is no commitment, you reach out to other players to schedule matches so it’s very go at your own pace.

I have been thoroughly enjoying it! I am in a lower skill division and everyone has been super chill and fun to play with. It has been good to run around and have fun while doing it.

If anyone has any interest, please check it out at the link below.

**disclaimer: I am not an admin or person of authority with this organization, just a player wanting to increase our turnout.

How would you feel about this playoff change?

I have the feeling most people will hate it, but I think it would be sick if the playoffs were opened up to the entire field and not structured by conference.

Seed 1-14 across entire afc and nfc and let any team play one another, no afc side of the playoffs and nfc side of the playoffs. I think it would be great to have new matchups we’ve never seen before in playoffs on the way to the Super Bowl.

Is this team as bad as Yahoo says it is?

I know yahoo goes off their adp but I haven’t gotten this much negative feedback on a team before.

10 man, half ppr, pick 8

Obviously don’t have elite WRs but that’s the way it fell for me. The logic was grab too elite RBs who can win weeks for me in Henry and JT, Devonta was the best WR left in round 3, Javonte was a great floor guy who should be steady for me all season, and then Wilson and Ladd i actually thought we’re great values where I got them even though they aren’t super exciting

How do you feel about this team?

Who are you wildly different on against ADP?

Players I am much higher on than ADP:

  1. Chase Brown - probably my favorite second round pick. Very contingent on burrow being healthy which has been a bad bet, but if burrow can do it, Brown has no competition in an elite offense. Feels like a very CMC lite at a big discount.

  2. Egbuka - yes he had a sputtering end to the season but I’m putting that on Baker being hurt. Similar to Burrow which is fair, Baker always gets hurt. But the upside is immense with Evans being gone.

Players I am much lower on than ADP:

  1. Ceedee Lamb - much rather just wait and grab Pickens in the second/third. Lamb may bounce back but he had brutal drops last year

  2. Jeanty - people are over estimating on the Oline improvements imo. Will still be a bad offense in a brutal division. Prefer many of the 2nd tier RBs he is going ahead of.

  3. Chris Olave - atrocious ADP based off one year for a player who at any given point is a concussion away from possible retirement. Will likely lose targets to Tyson coming in as well, never drafting him at ADP.

  4. DJ Moore - don’t fall for this guy again. He’s not that good.

When does Underdog Release the non-tournament drafts?

I don't want to throw away money on the tournaments with like 100k people. I want to do the drafts where 12 people draft against each other.

When do those typically come out? I don't see them at the moment.

Rate this team, Yahoo prize league $50 entry. Pick 6

10 teams
Half ppr

I feel pretty meh about it tbh, I’d give it like a 6/10. Heavily depends on Jacobs legal issues imo
