protecting tools from rust

Hello, hopefully this isnt a too often asked question, but recently ive started restoring old metal tools like metal planes and wood chisels. First 2 times i sprayed on clear lacquer and left it and its fine, but i realised it wont hold, so i then bought some sewing machine oil and started applying it, leaving it for 20 minutes and then wipping it off and done, but ive had cases where i still got rust ( garage is very damp and moist, but the tools rusted even at home), which i then figured out to be from not cleaning the tool before oiling, so i bought acetone. End of story there. Im trying to figure out whats the best or atleast good way to protect tools from rust without painting them? I have a few drawknives i want to derust, i would either wirebrush them or something, but then but the oil just seems inconsistent and too weak for my needs.

How else could i protect my tools from rust while keep in mind, doing so in a small workshop with not too many tools? Also id prefer if the method can darken the metal, but im more into just keeping it safe from rust. Ive looked at blueing before, but one seems impossible for me ( heats up the metal, which i cant overdo on a knife ), and the other blueing option is crazy expensive and acttuly also not that great, like 30 bucks per small bottle.

If you read all of this and thought of something please tell me what you think, Thank you.

What? What the shit?

Ive gotten Only a warning for now, for saying something really plain and simple, wouldnt repeat, but i said ,, i hate blacks " out of context, in Lithuanian, my main language, when the chat was still unlocked.. so about a year ago? Just asking why did i get a warning for something so minor that happend a damn year ago. This feels like an overreaction.

(If this post isint cooporative with the rules then just delete it i think its fine tho )

FYI i still havent did the age check, so i just legit cant message anything into chat now, last time was a year ago.

Denatured alcohol

Hello, ive asked this question before a difrent group but i havent got any response in a while, no hope there. Im interested in removing old shellac and other old varnish from wood. Seems like a good idea. Either Denatured alcohol or lacquer thinner.

Heres the thing, ive researched it before buying and some say as long as you dont drink it its safe, others say just having it on your skin can be fatal.

I cant get a proper awnser anywhere for my situation. How should i deal with these chemicals and should i even purchase them, and for the people that know, is there anything better to remove old paint, varnish, shellac and etc. from wood?

For now the idea would be to work outside, with a respirator, safety glasses, double gloves and long sleeves.

Thanks, thanks, and thanks again.

I wasn't using that roof anyways

Anyways, i copied the setup of this minecraft youtuber ( RagePaysGames ), thats trying to pollute the minecraft world and for now is trying to make steel, trouble is, i cant make it, its just not being made and i cant hover over to inspect the machines, like nothing shows up like storage or etc. Smoke is coming out from the coke oven and coal coke is coming out so its not all cooked. Any ideas what could be some common mistakes or something? 1.20.1, thanks, and if someone knows could they repeat me the steel recipe to be sure im doing it right, also thanks.

edit: some dont realize im not the youtuber im the worse copy of just the idea and also, ive realised the fresh air isint even going into the blast stove, so its not making hot air, why could that be? pump is running to the side of the blast stove, using cast iron pipes. Thanks again. And once more.
