Best Korean universities for masters in International/Global Business?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for universities in South Korea that offer a Master's in International Business or Global Business through GKS, not through GSIS.

Which universities would you recommend, and why?

Does anyone know if there's a Google Sheet for GKS-G 2026 similar to the one from GKS-G 2025?

The 2025 sheet had applicant profiles, interview questions, university choices, results, additional notes, and other useful information contributed by applicants.

I found it really helpful and was wondering if someone has created a similar spreadsheet for the 2026 cycle. If so, could you please share the link?

Thanks in advance!

Can a Master's in Business (Not MBA) Lead to Corporate Careers Instead of Academia?

Hi everyone,

I'm considering pursuing a Master's degree in Business (not an MBA) through GKS and wanted to understand the career outcomes, especially from people who have completed similar programs.

Most discussions I come across seem to focus either on MBAs or on people pursuing a master's degree as a pathway to a PhD and academia. My interest, however, is more towards working in the corporate sector after graduation.

For context, I'm looking at programs in areas such as Management, Organizational Behavior, International Business, Strategy, HRM, and related business fields.

My questions are:

  1. How common is it for graduates of non-MBA business master's programs to enter corporate roles rather than academia?
  2. What kinds of roles do graduates typically get into?
  3. Do employers view a Master's in Business differently from an MBA?
  4. Are there any specializations that are particularly well-suited for corporate careers, project management, people management, or organizational development?
  5. For those who completed a Master's in Business and went into industry, how was your job search experience and career progression?

I'd especially appreciate hearing from people who completed their degrees in South Korea,

THANK YOU.

Does GITAM Hostel WiFi Restrict OTT & Streaming Sites?

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to ask, does the hostel WiFi at GITAM Deemed to be University restrict OTT or streaming platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar, etc.?

Are there any bandwidth limits, blocked sites, or timing restrictions for streaming in the hostels?

Would appreciate hearing from current hostel students. Thanks!

Anyone here doing a Masters / MBA at KAIST? Especially through GKS?

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to ask if anyone in this sub is currently studying an MBA at KAIST especially Indian students who came through the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS).

I’ve mostly seen posts from engineering or tech students, so I was curious whether there are MBA students here, particularly Indians/international students studying through GKS.

Would love to hear about your experience with:

  • academics and workload
  • class profile and international student presence
  • career opportunities/internships
  • campus life and networking
  • how manageable the MBA is for non-Korean speakers

Feel free to comment or DM if you’re comfortable. Thanks!

hey everyone,

i came across this applicant tracker spreadsheet and found it really helpful:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1uDxRB9yR-nGkD5rnNW8hI_96QODO2omN/htmlview#gid=1463159219

i was wondering if there are any similar data sheets specifically for GKS-U or embassy track applicants.

something where we can see profiles, scores, universities, and outcomes — like a compiled tracker. I’ve seen a few spreadsheets floating around for GKS-G applicants where people share their profiles to compare and learn from each other

if anyone has links or is maintaining one, please share here. it would really help a lot of us preparing for the upcoming cycle
