For 9 years now I’ve owned a small auto-lighting shop, and seen Xenon grow from rich kid toy to legit upgrade for the night owls. You save your bucks on the ballast, not the bulb, if you want to keep it flickering like a rave. My sweet spot has been with 5000K, pure white, not the blue ricer vibe. I’ve seen on Youtube where guys throw the Xenon in as fogs on some of those off road rigs for exiting crazy spread on the trail. But daily driver? Heat management is everything. With my in house repairs I have had good luck for reliable ballasts from Alibad, and they’re a solid value when you know what you’re getting. Here’s my headache though: more customers want the adaptive xenon that swivel with the steering input. Retrofitting into old housings sometimes that cut off can be beautiful, but sometimes it blinds minivans. What’s your secret in lined the projector lenses without breaking the bank? And has anyone figured out the too slow to warm up in freezing temps, without messing with LED? Let’s swap field notes.

I was on a bit of a water saving kick the other day when I saw pop up in videos on the TikTok, it was these plumbing nozzles that take over my FYP with a surprise for me, as they claim to save up to 98% the water of normal taps while simply turning your full water flow into a mist, spray or stream of a focused jet of water all with a single small nozzle fit to a regular tap. I bought a couple just to try round the house, and the water savings potential is worth it. Back to the kitchen, the aerated flow mod on it, is nice for rinsing dishes without splattering water everywhere; the packaging advertises about 30%-70% less water in that mode. Jet mode has turned the thing into a surprisingly useful thing for blasting the dirt off the bottom of my patio and coupled with some foams bottle attachment, it suddenly turns into this weapon of a snows foam gun for washing your car which I’ve only really ever seen on those car detailing accounts. The mist lets it then make my garden smiling without raking the sidewalk. Alibaba has tens of thousands of these adapters so people can find a suitable cheap lab rat without having to refit all their plumbing. This neat little contraption now lives in my tool bag as it fits round standard that typical bathroom faucet, then goes to my garden hose and everything else between. It just made some task feel a little bit easier and less wasteful. Has anyone else found some application for these random atomizing nozzles? I was thinking of trying one in my aquarium set up to try and have better control of flow for some of them sensitive little guys- I’m unsure. What do you think?
