I am currently working on an Iron Snakes Techmarine, and I had a question regarding the kneepad iconography and color. Given that, in-game, we cannot color the Techmarine kneepad on the left leg like the Iron Snakes would, would it be better to leave my right knee blank, or use it for the iconography? There’s very few references I’ve found only (n = 2), so I’m having a tough time making a decision!
I like the idea of the Alpha Legion being the Savathûn or Odin of the WH40k universe, where they lie so much that their original intent has been lost. That, and my love for reptiles due to their insignia, I figured I’d try to make a Loyalist Techmarine, both due to the aforementioned insignia of the Hydra, but also to see what reactions I can garner in public matches!

I attempted to make a Vet. Sgt. Intercessor based off of the minis and previous fashions made! Any criticisms or points of improvement are welcome!
Notes:
- I wasn’t sure if they used Gothic numerals on the knees as I’ve seen the Greek letters (Omega and Lambda most often), and as SM2 doesn’t have those options, I’ve opted to leave them blank
- I don’t have the Veteran Right Pauldron, otherwise I’d use that
- I’ve noticed the minis were more bronze than gold, so I’ve kept the colors mostly the same as to what Sabre has given minus a light touch up on the trim color
Relatively new to the Warhammer 40k scene (I have done some research on Chapters and pivotal lore points and beats just so I have a base understanding going in), and I recently picked up Space Marine 2! I’m loving the game, and I’m especially loving the Bulwark class! So, I wanted to show off my DW Dark Angels attempt (any points to improve on it are appreciated; I tried to reference models, minis, previous fashions and their related criticisms to make the most lore-friendly version I can)!
That being said, I wanted to ask: would this chest piece work on non-Dark Angels/Dark Angels Successor Chapters (Novamarines, Exorcists, etc.)? I love this chest piece, but very few people seem to use it, so I don’t have much of a precedent to go off of there, and the chest symbol seems to lean more into the Dark Angels side of aesthetics, so I wanted to crowdsource feedback and information so I can make the most lore-friendly DW members possible!
