Hi all!

Some background context I (25F) agreed on keeping causal with someone I met (27M). After some time I decided it wasn’t working for me, it just felt like it wasn’t the right person for causal.

A few months go by of no contact and then we reconnected and decided to stay friends. However since it started off messy and both of us are naturally flirty, we are basically friends who flirt a lot with each other, physical touch (non sexual) compliment each other and ask relationship questions, banter, sex does come up now and then as a general topic but then we are like nah we aren’t doing that together again it’s just a joke.

It’s been about a month now and we have been seeing each other once a week and he has been initiating the plans first, it’s quite low pressure on both sides but the chemistry/attraction is extremely high and clear that we like each others company.

Before this I never had a situation like it in fact I would never be friends with someone first before getting into a relationship, which always turned out for the worse tbh.

So now I’m thinking is this a slow burn? Also just to note I am happy with our current situation cause there isn’t exception/disappointed on either side, not looking to rush into a relationship either. We haven’t kissed or done anything else even though there always seems to be hesitation on both sides to do so and kind of teasing each other.

My question is how do actual slow burn situations work? Is this considered one? Or did anyone else have a similar situation themselves
