hi! so basically I left my bike during the summer in philly and someone stole the pedals lol. I dont use my bike so I want to sell it (lowkey don't care that much of the price, just want to get rid of it). any place they take this type of bikes? lmao

I have a bike but have BARELY used it. it's been out in the street for almost two years so it needs a good maintenance, but I believe otherwise it can be functional! I have the bike helmet, ulock and repair kit.

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a tailor or seamstress who can replace or repair an invisible zipper on a skirt. I live in University City, so somewhere nearby would be ideal, but I'm happy to travel a bit if someone does great work.

It's a pretty straightforward zipper repair, and I'd love to find someone reliable who does small alterations at a reasonable price.

A few things I'm looking for:

• Coffee brown / dark brown leather or faux leather
• Wide-calf or extra-wide-calf options
• Knee-high preferred
• Comfortable enough for everyday wear
• Available in the U.S. (online or in-store)

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on getting summer research experience as an international undergrad in the U.S.

I’m currently studying in the U.S. and planning to apply for a PhD in molecular biology. The problem is that my university doesn’t have a strong focus on molecular biology, and because of my visa status, I’ve had limited access to research opportunities so far.

I really want to spend this summer working in a lab at another university to build experience and learn techniques. I’m willing to cover my own living expenses, so I wouldn’t need funding, just the opportunity to volunteer or assist in a lab.

I’ve been thinking about cold emailing professors, but I’m not sure how to approach it effectively. I also don’t have access to research labs in my home country, so that’s not an option for me.

Has anyone here successfully cold emailed professors for summer research? What should I include in the email, and how can I improve my chances of getting a response?
