Hi everyone,

You are recommended to take part in the 'AI Use in College Learning Survey.' This study will help us learn more about the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in your college learning process and the role that these tools shape your academic experiences.

This research is being conducted with a professor in Ocean County College.

This survey is voluntary; if you decide to take part in this survey, you will be asked to answer eighteen (18) questions (17 multiple-choice questions and one short response question), which will take around 10-15 minutes to complete.

You can find the survey here:

- By clicking this link AI Use in College Learning Survey, to access it directly.

- By copying and pasting this URL https://forms.gle/ZubsCJabNRVLpVhA7.

If you are not currently enrolled in any college or university, then you are not advised to take part in this survey. Nevertheless, you are encouraged to share this survey with an eligible respondent.

Before responding here are some important things to note before attempting the survey.

The questions included will be related to:

  • Your academic background (only includes your age group, academic level, and area of study)
  • Frequency of AI tools used and which tools you use
  • Uses of AI in your academic studies
  • Your opinions about the use of AI tools in learning and academic achievements
  • View about academic integrity and concerns related with the use of AI tools

Please note that:

  • All data you provided will be kept confidential and will not identify you in any way.
  • Only information related to your age, academic level, and your major will be collected.
  • Information including your email, name, gender, where you study, and other sensitive information will not be collected.
  • The software 'Google Forms' will require you to sign in for you to complete the survey; we will not collect your email addresses.
  • You have the option to skip certain questions and leave the survey at any time you want, and there will be no consequences for you if you decide not to answer the questions.
  • You will not be entered into any draws for prizes. There is no financial incentive to complete this survey.

We appreciate your time and cooperation.

Regards,

A student from Ocean County College

To Frat Boys

Written by Diana W. Posted by a passionate reader.

That you show off your toxic masculinity

That you make GreenKey a drinking game

Let me sleep when it's a Friday night after a busy week of classes and work

(To incoming students, my experience in general is so much nice but the culture of frats described in the poem hasn't changed much).

NH residents...besides Dartmouth...any New England schools that give some preference to NH residents?

Hi,

Just wondering, NH only has Dartmouth, no state medical schools. I've heard, although seen no proof, that Dartmouth gives a slight preference to NH residents. Can we expect any type of preference from our neighbors UVM, U Mass, or U Conn? I know Tufts has a deal with Maine for a rural medicine program...but anything else? Kinds stinks to be from a state with no state medical school. Thanks!

Questions About Dartmouth

I was recently admitted to Dartmouth as a transfer student, and I am SO SO grateful for this acceptance. I am drawn to a lot of things about Dartmouth that my large public school couldn’t give me (ex: a small tight knit community, small class sizes, great connections with professors and a strong career pipeline) I hope to study Economics with a double in Comparative Literature or Quantitative Social Sciences, and I want to go into IB or consulting after graduation. I’ve really romanticized Dartmouth in my head but I do realistically have some concerns I would love to be answered before I commit.

  1. As far as I can tell, the student body is majority white, matriculating from elite prep schools on the East Coast and obviously extremely wealthy. I know that is not ALL of the students, but that demographic dominates. As a middle-class Asian American coming from a California public high school and then college, I am not sure if I would fit in or find my people. The community at Dartmouth is what draws me in and I’m scared it might be more cliquey than what I’ve experienced.
  2. The location. I’ve never been much of a nature lover and I’ve actually always been drawn to the big city. For college though, I do prefer a less busy place so I’m okay with it not being super urban, but does it ever get super boring and isolating? Such a non-issue but kinda still an issue are there Asian restaurants in Hanover?

Thank you so much and any input would be so helpful!

Question on Dartmouth housing - Meadow Brook Village (WRJ)

Hi everyone,

I’ll be moving to the Hanover area this August to start teaching at Dartmouth, and I’m currently looking into apartments nearby. I recently came across Meadow Brook Village in White River Junction and was wondering if anyone here has experience living there or knows anything about it.

Insights on owning Electric Car as Dartmouth Grad Student

Hey everyone, I’m an incoming Dartmouth grad student and trying to figure out how realistic it is to bring an EV to Hanover. Likely will be living at Summit on Juniper. Know they have some chargers at the property there, but wanted to know more about the winter time and daily practicality of EV ownership around Dartmouth.

How available/reliable is EV charging on or near Dart campus?

Do people usually charge daily, or is occasional Level 2/3 charging enough?

How much range loss should I realistically expect during winter?

Are there specific charging stations/networks people use around Hanover?

Honestly, is bringing an EV even worth it at all, or is leasing a gas car just way easier?

Would especially appreciate insight from anyone who owns an EV at Dartmouth or in the Hanover/Lebanon area.
